Talk:Prismatic Ooze

Would be nice if someone could get a description of their special skill. I only know that it works similar to Mark of Protection so you should swap to another target. - Khan Reaper Kerensky 21:01, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

It seems that on their death a whole regiment of oozes spawn, instead of just 2. 81.240.170.76 18:02, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

When I killed 1 of these guys 2 Aggressive Oozes. 2 Earthbound Oozes and 2 Shimmering Oozes spawned. House Of Furyan 10:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Correction, add 2 Ominous oozes to that list as well. House Of Furyan 10:52, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

You forgot to mention the Hulking Volatile Ooze spawn. That's the first arrival upon their death and after it's explosion you'll see those above mentioned spawns. But i know why you missed it. It doesn't stay long. ^^

Adding to that, the fact that it spawns these oozes is not the reason why you can't use a Signet of Capture. The foe is boss-like, but is not truly a boss (despite its role and placement in the dungeon), which is the real reason why SoC doesn't work. By contrast, you can still capture skills from true bosses that "vanish" upon death, or do not otherwise leave exploitable corpses. Edited the article to reflect this, though I'm not convinced a note should be there at all, given the fact that most dungeon bosses are merely boss-like... --SoraMitsukai 22:35, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

H/H [HM] Tactics[edit]

I flagged my heroes back and was able to pull 1 from the group. Killed it, and then took on the other 2 with not much trouble. When you pull, they will all come...so run away. Once they retreat back, run at them again to make them attack you again. If you time it correctly you will eventually have just 1 running back at you

Definitely bring pain inverter. That is where 90% of my damage will came from on these things. Bring some powerstones of courage just in case you wipe. --174.44.25.147 21:08, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

This works extremely well. Pull them and make sure you fight them at the corner of their aggro range. If done correctly you fight only one of the three. After I got that one down and cleaned the adds that spawned I tried to do the same with the second one but turns out it didn't work so well this time so I kept pulling, losing aggro and re-pulling until the second one was dead. With two down the third was just as easy as any other normal enemy. --84.129.113.237 14:31, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

Health and Weaknesses[edit]

Could perhaps be noted that if you use life stealing you bypass all their protective monster skills. Also you can divert it. Also their health is suprisingly low. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:19, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
