Huuray for thumpers. Dark Morphon 09:31, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Hurray, another skill that has a longer concise skill description than the regular one. —ZerphaThe Improver 15:05, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- the concise skill description is a fuller description. concise is just a simple word for a range of improvements to the skill descriptions. there are exceptions to them being concise, but they are exceptions. do u really not see what anet's trying to do here? --VVong|BA 15:11, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- i interpreted "concise" as short, as they are described in a note form. I doesn't make any sense to me why Anet should add a new optional description instead of re-write all skills needed if they wanted to shorten all skills on the only words needed. Neither new players nor advanced players do need that, as also not every skill had such a precise description like Gash. Additionally, the skill page of this talk is another example that the normal description leaves something out, which isn't really helpful to new players. See Talk:Game_updates/20080313#Concise_Skill_Descriptions, i depicted my opinion over the concise skills there. What I'm getting at is that these two description forms are both messed up and that I don't understand why they didn't instead make a simpler update that rewrote all skills needed, instead of rewriting all after a new system. That would have been less work and better, imo. —ZerphaThe Improver 17:39, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- either way they chose to implement this, they'd have to rewrite skill descriptions. i'm not sure how that would be less work. ur point that the normal description leaves information out is a good point. but that doesn't mean the new description is bad. the implementation method just means they wanted to give ppl a choice over which version to look at. i know i'll switch over to concise b/c there are still reams of skills in nf and eotn that i haven't tried b/c i'm not a hardcore player anymore. the concise description formats the skill wording so that there's just less to read typically. if there is more to read, it's often b/c the description is now better. u can argue that they're lazy for not changing the original skill descriptions, but some ppl may be attached to that wording. the only original wordings i would change are the ones that are missing skill mechanics such as this one. --VVong|BA 17:57, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Rampage as One. You run so fast for as long as you want :D--Blahishness 16:51, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
Speed Anomaly[edit]
If you use this skill with a speed stance(dodge,Dash, etc) the running speed STACKS!!! Treesbyty 22:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well no crap, it's at 25% and capped at 33% Halogod35 14:00, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- The speed increase is 33%, and the attack speed is 25%. Try not being an a-hole btw; especially if you don't know what your talking about. Oh, and Dash would naturally make you go above the 33% but it's weird that dodge, etc. would stack too. I'll need to test that out. Anfunnyiscool 3:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- How can speed be capped at 33%? Dash ╙─ ╠Dogzrdogz╣ talk
- The same way Save Yourselves can increase your armor beyond the cap. A single skill can boost you over the cap( movement and IAS) but multiple skills that give lower bonuses cannot bring you over the cap, like if you used Spring and Charge at the same time you would still move at 33% faster206.53.17.64 20:09, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- To me that seems a little dumb the way they did that, but yea :( --70.118.201.84 00:38, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Notes Edit[edit]
I removed the note about Energizing Wind and Expertise lowering energy cost as EW lowers the cost of all skills and spells assuming they cost more than 10e, and any self respecting Ranger should know what their primary is good for. So unless you want to add EW to every 25e skill I don't think that note should exist. -- Broodling 09:21, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
It is often used in Hway and about any build that uses thumpers so i think the note should be there Lilondra 10:01, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
tabe[edit]
It could just be because I'm half asleep, but it took me a good 5 minutes to figure out the table at the bottom of the page. I'm pretty bad with wiki code, so I don't know what the best way to clarify it is, but I would like to suggest that someone do so. --71.234.234.87 04:06, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Then again, I also spelled table incorrectly, so maybe I should just go to bed. o_O --71.234.234.87 04:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Average speed increase[edit]

Most Fun Ever[edit]
I don't think there is a more entertaining ranger elite for PVE... slap on some stalwart insigs, grab an animal and a 12 mastery melee weapon, go berserk. Zealous mod and/or scavenger strike for energy, and the rampaging hits make you a skill-spamming headbutting machine (chain w/ lowblow to soften toughguys up for a flailing beating). So much more fun than a bow. 75.158.134.214 05:10, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
