Fast find[edit]

Fastest way to find him is to:

  1. Exit Ember Light Camp.
  2. Wait for the train of hydras and golems to pass (it's faster than fighting).
  3. Go directly north (going the opposite direction of the hydra/golem party that just passed), you'll have the ether seal to your left, flesh golems to your right, and jade bows in front of you.
  4. Scout the area just behind the Jade Bows, if he's there, profit! If not, back to camp and do it again. Takes about 60 seconds.

Sure beats trying to clear the map for this guy. >_> --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:98.223.187.222 (talk).

Better yet, exit, look to your left while hugging that wall, and hold down control. You should be able to spot whichever boss/foes that spawns there. If you can't see him, wait a bit longer, as they tend to walk just beyond sight, then walk back.--99.241.76.164 22:00, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
The hugging wall method is very effective and saved me several runs looking at each spawn point. I reccomend putting it in the notes section. -- Diseraph 09:24, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

KD-able or not?[edit]

Is this boss (and his (its?) corresponding fellow Hydra bosses) KD-able? What evidence do we have one way or another? – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:12, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

I added stun immunity to all of the desert hydra bosses after I found that the regular desert hydras couldn't be knocked down. I didn't think it would be necessary to check every desert hydra boss. I knew that Guardian bosses couldn't be knocked down, just like regular Guardians, and since bosses, especially Proph bosses, are usually just slightly higher-leveled versions of the normal enemy, so I assumed they would also have stun immunity. Are we sure that the Hydra bosses are actually KD-able, as opposed to simply interruptible? I would have checked the whole thing out myself but I don't have access to the game right now. --Wingsy 21:41, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
If a creature using a model which is normally used by stun immune creatures is not stun immune and then knocked down, it freezes for the duration of the knock down. This is distinct and can be seen quite easily. Take Psychic Instability and interrupt Giant Stomp of a desolation giant or Meteorshower of that elementalist hydra boss. To further prove it you can take Crushing Blow with you. 88.152.25.23 22:09, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
