I don't see a change at all. Shadow Prison only need 3 seconds to fulfill it's purpose. Lightblade 23:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

This skill is sub-par in comparison to Dark Prison :/. --Readem 00:29, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Also, it needs 4 seconds, with IAS. Readem (talk*gwwcontribs) 23:39, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
readem, this keeps getting nerfed because time and time again the SP bar is proven to be OP, they just nerf this to force other people to get creative, remember when the nerfed burst of agression?
A skill can't be nerfed too much, or nobody would use them. When a skill is so overpowered like this, you need to change more than just a few numbers. I was thinking change it to something like this: "Elite Hex. You lose all but 50...250 Health and Shadowstep to target foe. For 4 seconds, target hexed foe move 66% slower. When this hex end, you gain 50...250 Health." Lightblade 17:13, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
I think the biggest problem with this skill is it's almost impossible to defend against without reliable condition removal, anti knockdown or hex breaker - which most casual builds can't bother with because there are other things they need to fulfill. Look anywhere in Alliance Battles or Aspenwood and you will see these builds running rampant. I would say 75% of Kurzicks run this build, it gets tiring seeing the same combo hit you over and over. I like the life loss thing - If I thought I could get away or somehow survive the attack I wouldn't mind the build. Then again you can always just run Hex Breaker and ruin their day. 58.110.141.1 23:58, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

if you get sick of this, run a burning arrow ranger with lightning reflexes and eat sin soup in ab

I find it strange that people still complain about this skill and the fragile combos it makes when there are so many BA rangers in AB and RA that deal more constant damage then SP sins and have more then twice the survivability... 71.179.85.164 07:18, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Shadow Prison is 4 second kill. You can't do that with Burning Arrow. Lightblade 17:41, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
But BA also recharges a lot faster and can switch targets much more easily then a SP sin can. If your target dies mid-combo, which happens a lot in AB, then the sin is fucked. The ranger isn't, they recharge way too quick anyway. Besides, the Rangers are much harder to kill then the assassins are. 71.179.85.164 07:11, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

What an elite! Almost the same effect with Dark Prison now...

Except for the part where they move half as quickly, less often, for less time. Sounds really similar to me... 204.52.179.199 19:38, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I really like how this skill got nerfed. I'm tired of having to always put one skill on my skillbar to counter this stupid build. Good riddance.

I haven't seen an SP 'sin in months. What are you playing? --71.229.204.25 22:04, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Um...before the black lotus nerf, every team had at least one sp sin. Not sure what you are playing but you should have seen gank-heavy GvG a couple weeks ago. 70.122.49.136 23:18, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that would be it. I don't play much high-end GvG, low-end bad-build fuckery is a lot more fun IMO. --71.229.204.25 23:20, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

It was mentioned SP got +5 seconds added to now 25 seconds to make Aura of Displacement more viable. Izzy likes this skill a lot, and would like to see it return to play. Does not sound too logic to me. I think SP was already nerfed enough and fine at 20 seconds. People who used it now just use Dark Prison PLUS free up their elite slot, which cannot have been the plan whatever it was. --Longasc 07:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

This should be slightly better than Dark prison tbh. --Readem 00:30, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
This skill should only cost 5 energy to become less bad... -.- 77.133.130.135 22:37, 30 November 2008 (UTC) |Rin|
That and 20 recharge with NO AFTERCAST; it IS elite after all. It's not Death's Charge, Shadow Fang or Dark Prison for it to merit the aftercast delay. OP'd SP Sin build's have been nerfed to dirt, so it's pretty safe to say that the above wouldn't hurt to be added nowadays. --Ulterion 15:53, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree. It should also be removed from every step in PvE. >.< Invincible RogueUser Invincible Rogue siggyiggywiggy.gif 20:01, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
I second this motion so hard. It's not that major, should be done.Grikitis 17:08, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Worthless[edit]

I mainly play PvE, so I don't know how useful this is in PvP, but Dark Prison seems like a much better option that frees up that elite slot. The only differences are 5 seconds in recharge (30 to 25 isn't that great, IMO) and 66% slower as opposed to 33%. As long as they move slower and you can catch them, what's the point? This skill needs a boost, at least in PvE. What a joke. Netpassport89 09:21, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

...Seriously? This was one of the most used assassin elites in PvP, until it was nerfed (several times). Snaring, especially single target, in PvE has always been pointless. Thus, this skill was never meant to be used in PvE, even if they made it snare compass-wide it wouldn't be used in PvE. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 14:14, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
True, when did you last see an assassin (player or hero) in PvE? The answer is "you don't" because, well, because Discordway (anyone else noticed the price of Necro and Rit minor runes shooting up through the roof since ANet allowed 7-hero parties?). Astralphoenix777 09:32, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
