Talk:Signet of Pious Restraint
Me/D Symbols of Inspiration mesmers thank you. :D --Redfeather 04:40, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- What use do mesmers have for crippling someone? --MasterPatricko 10:21, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- To be annoying? Why do mesmers have speed hexs? Pious Signets use with Symbols of Inspiration is more about energy gain anyway. This is just another option now.--Redfeather 15:34, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- When used with Patient Spirit? Now dervs can be used for snare builds :) Delgadude 18:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- We they not crazy cripplers to begin with?--Lorddarkflare 11:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
- Too powerful espcially when used with Patient Spirit or Withering Aura. --Shadetz X 06:09, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

PvE[edit]
Kind of disappointed about the new Wind Prayers being total crap in PvE, except for running. Even buffing this skill to 99 seconds with no recharge still wouldn't be worth it in PvE : / --Deathwing 00:32, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Wind Prayers have always been PvP orientated. That's just what they're designed for. —ǥȓɩηɔɧ〚₮/ḉ〛 14:06, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Used with a disenchanting Dervish in PvE, this would work better than Signet of Pious Light. No, I have not released a disenchanting dervish build.
Overpowered?[edit]
combine this with a skill like RoF, guardian, or shield guardian, and you've got an equivalent to crippling shot, well better than crippling shot, because it lasts twice as long. 2 skills to make 1 elite.... something that's been seen before, still pretty nifty.--Xapti 23:08, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- I can use this with Illusion of Haste to do a cripple tango with someone. Don't ask why I would. Just imagine. :O --Redfeather 23:51, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- The power of this skill is that it is a ranged crippling skill. The other point is that it does not require an enchantment to cripple, it is just there to make it zero recharge. This is quite powerful, a D/Mo could really spam RoF and this signet, which could be useful in PvE as well. As Dervishes get back energy through Mysticism, it is probably the easiest and cheapest way to spread crippling, making the melee crippling attacks seem pathetic in comparison. But who will let a D/Mo stand around and let him spam RoF and this? just attack him and RoF gets used up, and then this skill is not really that powerful. Another enchantment then gets used up, a fair price IMO. --Longasc 10:11, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

if you just spam this w/o care you'll get pwnd by Diversion anyway just like Cripshot rangers. Will we see some Crippling Anguish type of builds ?88.122.33.120 10:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Cripshot is more potent because of cover conditions by Apply Poison, damage done by arrows, and potential ability to add more interrupt+damage.--Skye Marin 22:57, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
if you spam this and use it to remove an enchatment. you will NOT be pwnd by diversion :P it recharges instantly. 87.51.135.254 07:44, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- The enchantment doesn't. -Auron 07:49, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
