OMG was that a lot fo work? Annoying And Deadly 15:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Most of those ids we got by the game link references that were created in the beginning by ANet. But all additional skills (i.e. non-player skills) were added manually and that was most likely a lot of work ;) poke | talk 16:47, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

wait so what is this for? the numbers are just........... Annoying And Deadly 21:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

The numbers are the internal skill ids; for the player skills, they can be used in skill templates, for the other skills they were just added as a reference as we started with a list by skill id so it doesn't hurt to add them here. poke | talk 21:37, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
damn so no BAMPH on player skill templates? Annoying And Deadly 23:05, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
It was possible in the beginning to add non-player skills by using the ids but ANet later added a mechanism to detect invalid skills already when entering a code. poke | talk 06:57, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

any chance this'll get updated? we're trying to update the skill db over at PvX, but without the PvP skill id's, i can't exactly do that. (and i don't have the slightest idea of how to get these ids.) ··· Danny Pew Pew

There is a chance, but it's more likely for you to find the skill ids of particular skills by hitting edit on the actualy skill page and look for the id parameter. Usually all new skills will have the id there, as we quickly set up the in-game links when a new skill is added (and doing that requires knowing the id - which you can obtain by clicking on it in-game). Another way to get the skill ids would be by looking at the game integration lists. Those are quite complete and should contain all PvP skills.
Also I already set up a list of PvXwiki before: Here I have posted some code and at the top of that you can see a array with the skill ids of PvP skills pointing to the PvE versions. They were complete at that time, and I don't think there are that many new PvP skills since then. poke | talk 23:18, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
How can you get the id in game exactly? o_O Anyway, the integration lists should work. ··· Danny Pew Pew 01:32, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
You press F10 to open the Help panel and click on a skill. Then your browser opens a page like Game link:Skill 1234 and then the 1234 is the id for the skill you clicked. poke | talk 15:50, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Oh, cute. If I ever used the Help Panel, I probably wouldn't have noticed that anyway, so thanks for the heads up. ··· Danny Pew Pew

Redundant with game integration links?[edit]

This hasn't been updated in ages - it hasn't even got the WoC skills on it. (I didn't even know of this page's existance) Guild Wars Wiki:Game integration/Skills has all the skills on it.. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 12:09, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
