Nika's Spectator Quotes[edit]
They're not listed on the page. Can somebody add them?173.64.114.148 01:34, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
- Good spot. Thanks. Feel free to help edit pages that you notice missing stuff. -- ab.er.rant 14:27, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Those are some of the weakest trivia connections I've ever seen. Cynn's first one, for example, is probably just a reference to the biblical battle in Revelation, not some obscure game (which is also named after said battle). Fighting games have had shitty, generic names forever, but that doesn't mean every time the name is mentioned, it's a reference to a fighting game. Most of these are simply words or phrases often used in English.
One or two of these I can maybe see, but that's way too much unsupported trivia in the rest of it. -Auron 01:32, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Take a look at who added all those trivia notes. Erasculio 01:34, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

- Is there really a reason why all of it is still there because I'm very tempted to clean it up. Norwegian Thunder 15:27, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, Erasculio pointed out that a lot of it was added by a staff member of Arenanet. Misery 15:30, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry, I did not see that on his page. Norwegian Thunder 16:14, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Skills[edit]
Quick question. How do we know what skills they use? I can understand catching some of them passively using Elemental Attunement or something, but what about Crippling Slash, Cleave, etc? How do we know they're elementalists? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. It's been ages since I did the tournament for real, but I popped in a few minutes ago to check, and I saw that while the majority of the spectators are just shown as "Lvl 20 Spectator", there was one "E20 Spectator" (who casted Elemental Attunement, Fire Attunement, and Aura of Restoration, which aren't in the skills list) and one "W20 Spectator" (who I didn't see use any skills). Since we don't see them in combat (do we?), and they're not bosses that we can kill and use SoC on, how do we know their attack skills? Hope I'm making sense. Ailina 05:32, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Also, it states their level at 24, but I've only seen one lvl 24 spectator (on the second round), the rest being lvl 20. Gah, so confusing. Ailina 05:38, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, so a few observations. Upon loading into a map, the closest Spectator on your right is always a lvl 24. Lvl 24s are always dwarves. Rarely, there will be one other lvl 24 on the map, and if it appears, it will be 3rd from the back on the right side. All Spectators that show up as "E20" (see above) have a small, female human form. All Spectators that show up as "W 20" have a male human form (couldn't get a close look, but it looked kinda like Little Thom, maybe?). I've been through the whole competition many times now, for research purposes, and I've never seen any profession besides Elementalist and Warrior specified among the Spectators, nor have I seen any variation on the above notes. Also, every single Spectator on the left side is always a "standard" lvl 20 (no profession), with mixed forms (aka the lvl 24(s), the eles, and the wars are always on the right). I am now entirely sick of the word "Spectator", and I've now seen it so much that it no longer looks like a real word. I'm not even sure if I'm making sense anymore. Basically, I have no idea how people got the skills and professions listed on the page. I have yet to see a single monk or ritualist, so how are they "mostly, if not all" monks and rits? Why is their profession in the box listed as elementalist, especially considering the previous statement? Is there something gigantic I'm missing here? Ailina 06:23, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- There's some sort of app that can read stuff in the gw.dat file; a lot of arcane data posted in the wiki comes from that. (Of course, this wiki, like others, ends up with a lot of pure speculation rewritten into fact for a variety of reasons, good and bad.)
- For these NPCs, it wouldn't surprise me if they vary somewhat depending on the current opponent...and if there's more variation for Magni and Joko...so it could be that you haven't yet observed enough matches. It's also possible (perhaps unlikely) that the spectators were updated at some point.
- If you do feel that you have done sufficient research (and that seems the most likely possibility), then I urge you to be bold and edit accordingly. The worst that happens is that someone will remember why Rits are listed here and post the relevant screens or .dat research...and restore the relevant bits. The best that happens is that bad info is removed.
- For monks, someone posted this screen. The rit prof was added by User:Backsword, so you could drop a note on his page asking him how he found a rit. 76.199.136.254 06:41, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- I know this is a couple weeks old but just thought I should mention, rather than .dat mining, arcane mimicry lets you check their elite skills easily. 152.78.174.108 13:59, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
