From what I hear they look really gay. 71.177.254.146 07:40, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, have you seen the cat ears in kamadam? Awful. --99.61.21.109 07:41, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
both are pretty bad imo....i wanted something idk halloween related...AurenX 07:42, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
They don't look too bad, but could easily be mistaken for something craftable from the Asura or something. Better than the sex toy ears though. --User Master Fast sig-icon.pngShinigami King 07:43, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I personally like them, however they're not too halloweeny.... ~Doktor
I like them. Now my Warrior can wear goggles just like his comic-counterpart! Mr. Stumme? Are you behind this? User Karuro Icon.png Karuro 07:59, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I think they do look nice, but it's stupid they aren't over your eyes, but on your forehead. They look more like horn-stumps to me than specs.--Cyberman User Cyberman Mastermind Sig.gif 08:01, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I agree. I was hoping they'd look a bit sniperish over the eyes, but as it is, it's more like they're headlights... Arshay Duskbrow 08:15, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
I don't know i like the mad scientist after an experiment look.209.33.92.115 08:20, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Spectercles are googles worn to be able to see ghosts/spirits/spectres/poltergeists, hence the name Spectercles(spectre-spectacles) 173.32.190.24 09:08, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

(reset indent) I do like the look (my first thought was Girl Genius - the only steampunk comic I know) - but I think they aren't prominent enough on the forehead. Over the eyes, you'd notice them immediately. The way they are they move into the background. I guess it also depends on the hair color, of course.--Cyberman User Cyberman Mastermind Sig.gif 09:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I don't understand what this rioting is all about. Goggles make everything more awesome. That's a fact. --Adul 09:13, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
After seeing this picture, I think you may be right. --Curse YouCurse You(talk|contribs) 09:19, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Given that the other headgear is nekomimi... could this be a reference to naruto? Before naruto had a headband he wore goggles that look very much the same. Weeboo colored halloween? kren3
No, just no. User Karuro Icon.png Karuro 09:52, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Indeed, for the love of Lyssa, please no. I love this game and I want to keep it that way, the way these hats are it's already being too great a challenge - VileLasagna 11:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

I expected them to sit on the eyes properly, not on the forehead. I wish they were two models for either position... Wiking 14:29, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

The gogglez, still do nothing! --Bio. 13:56, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
"Ze goggles! Ze do nothing!"
Ugh... these things are absolutely horrible with just about every male Ranger hairstyle. I suppose it's my fault for thinking they would actually go over the eyes, though. Now I actually have to blow the cash on a blindfold for a decent-looking headpiece. 128.113.201.222 14:14, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Aren't male rangers horrible to start with? I mean, just take a look at their armors... I deleted mine a while ago even though he had a tormented scythe, just to make a good looking one: female. Either way... I love these glasses. But I love about everything when it comes to steampunk. --86.217.16.182 14:26, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Having an item on a character and deleting it means nothing. That's what storage is for. --198.82.116.52 16:36, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, because customized weapons are worth keeping in storage after their owner is deleted. --70.90.155.138 18:49, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
These aren't the best idea; I was hoping for a vampire face paint this year since we already and the werewolf, and vampires are for Halloween. And this has nothing to do with Twilight - I'm talking the scary, blood-sucking, can't go out in the day vampires. hehe Tender WolfUser Tender Wolf sig.png
Personally, I think male Rangers are the best looking characters in the game, though I also have a thing for trenchcoats. I was never too fond of the female Rangers; maybe it's just that, as a straight woman, I found the dancing a bit... off-putting? But I feel quite awesome as a male one. Also, I find the goggles go fantastic with my hairstyle. It's the Prophecies one with the headband with the little bones on the front. There's slight clipping issues, but not enough for me to think it's not awesome. 174.92.80.138 06:56, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

The Goggles doesn't go all the way around your head. At my bald paragon the straps end just behind the ears, like on glasses.--Piippo 16:44, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

they aren't suppose to go all the way arround. Look at the picture on the page.--66.91.82.73 19:04, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Anet just forgot that there are bald characters.. Really! User Karuro Icon.png Karuro 23:06, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Would be nice if you could sit them over you're eyes and it didn't replace you're ranger mask. too bad all the effort was put into the costumes.

they should've called them specta-kills :P --Alien User Alien Sig.png 22:32, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Personally I like these a lot better than some of the past Halloween hats. A pumpkin head is funny and whatnot, but am I really going to wear it in the middle of June? These are a nice year-round costume piece and they're completely free. -- bcstingg (talkcontribs) 22:39, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
FAKE AND GAY! 66.235.17.210 01:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
they need a note on this page that they do nothing. Gotta love Goggles.--99.118.118.48 01:58, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
When have festivals hats ever "done something?" User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 01:59, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Its a joke from Doctor Who. He Had goggles on and he was like "The Goggles! They do nothing."--Yozuk 02:22, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I've been meaning to get into Doctor Who for like two years now. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 02:23, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the goggles line is from The Simpsons, namely the Radioactive Man episode. --Curse YouCurse You(talk|contribs) 13:00, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah your right. my mistake.--Yozuk 06:06, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Ermahgerd! Spectercles!--184.33.96.12 04:51, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Steam Punk[edit]

Don't you think? --Ravencroft0 02:15, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Goggles are a very important part of Steampunk. its almost mandatory to have them for it.--Yozuk 02:24, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I didn't realize that steam punk had already been mentioned, but the wall of text gave me a mean case of tl;dr. Sorry, folks, my bad.--Ravencroft0 03:31, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't know...[edit]

I don't know you guys, but I personally liked the Spectrecles, I find them unique. Yes, obviously we all know ANet coudl've done better than Playboy Ears and Mad Scientist Goggles, but atleast about the Goggles i'm not complaining much, maybe the fact that they woudl've looked better bigger but I still like them. Same with Ears, they look to Playboy-ish... A bit bigger and furrier might've maked them look a bit more bat-like and so, making it more Halloween-ish, but w/e. We can't complain, awsum costumes were awsum this year, and we all know ANet fails with Event masks lately, let's be honest, they could've done worse ;) ~ Haunted ShadowUser Haunted Shadow Shatter Storm Sig1.jpg02:20, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

True. It also would have been better to clue us in on their inspiration for the hats. If they did, I wasn't aware of it (link please?) --Ravencroft0 08:00, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Walk Like An Asuran...[edit]

Anyone else feel a tad bit non-bookah with these things on? ®emi¢k§ 13:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

That's exactly what I thought. If only these would work with a Cerebral Tonic... ~Doktor

Asurans!!!!!! =3 I luve them... That's why I liked so much this Mask... I mean, it maskes my Necro look like a Mad Scientist =3 (Flaming-Orange Shining Blade Costume + Spectercles + My Necro's Face and Hair, leet :D) ~ Haunted ShadowUser Haunted Shadow Shatter Storm Sig1.jpg Haunted Shadow 23:01, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, and on my woman ritualist they look wicked. I mean think about it... goggles that enable the wearer to see spirits? Ritualist who communicates with spirits? Goes pretty much perfect. 216.185.250.92 00:41, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
