Talk:Summon Ruby Djinn
Though the Naga and Mursaat have excellent synergy, I think the Djinn wins on pure power with its 3s Spell ; assuming it does not run out of Energy before it expires, it can keep a single target Burning its entire duration ! Certainly the quickest Spell will let it spread the most carnage.--Walks With Angels 22:02, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. The sheer damage potential (assuming the thing is smart enough to actually use it whenever he can >_<) will almost certainly make this one the most popular. Except maybe when the summoner has something to gain from the others' effects, like Heavy Blow or something. --Jette 21:13, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- This whole summoning thing is pretty cool. GW:EN is nearly here.... RustyTheMesmer 05:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
hot... No pun intended..ok maybe a little.. --Yakky 16:32, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
You get this skill after you complete the Polymock Master's quests. From what I figure, they'll always go after the target with the lowest Armor Rating(they always go after the 60 armor dummies, even if you Shift+Alt, or alt targets) They don't use Firey Dragon Swords but attack at a staff's distance. Damage[edit]
How much damage does it do? Like at level 12, how much does it invest in Fire Magic? I know it does not matter, but would be nice to know imo. --Pwrkaril 22:09, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Spawning Power[edit]
I just tested it, and at 0 spawning power a rank 4 ruby djinn lasted 24 seconds at the student of burning. At 9 spawning power the ruby djinn lasted 32 seconds.24.47.18.113 19:57, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
- I also just found out that the ruby djinn is effected by signet of ghostly might, which suggests that it also triggers other things like boon of creation and spirits gift.24.47.18.113 20:02, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
"Graphical Bug"[edit]
That "graphical bug" screenshot is likely the result of a bug with double-sided polygons with transparency overlapping that has been in the game since day 1. Many other games also have this problem. It will likely never be fixed, and imo the screenie should be taken down as it's pretty useless. -Silent Vex 67.184.30.202 03:58, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Useless Note?[edit]
Is there a point to the note about Mark of Rodgert? considering how Immolate already inflicts burning, it would render Mark of Rodgert useless. Wandering Traveler 15:46, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- There is because it also attacks with the equivalent of a fire staff and therefore activate mark of rodgort with it's attacks, not the spell only. lussh 16:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
2/3rds attack range?[edit]
I've never experienced this, as a warrior I have seen my summons attack at full range as I charge in... can anyone with a more backline character confirm or deny their range? MrPaladin talk 13:48, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm a backline sin caster and the summons always engage at aggro range once penetrated [ perhaps less than earshot but more than 2/3 ] --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 17:53, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Comfirming Reduced Attack range[edit]
http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/6629/compass.png
As you can see, when casting, the Ice Imp is at normal cast range but when he's done he moves up significantly to perform normal attacks. This test proved true for the Ruby Djinn as well. [ Tyloric ] [ Talk ] 22:46, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
- Weird. So I believe reduced range, but "2/3" of what? I've altered the notes to (a) remove the "it seems" (it's redundant); (b) the comparison between the creatures (it's not quite relevant unless we believe that only these two summons are the only ones that attack at that range); (c) that range looks to me like shortbow range, which isn't all that crazy (so it's not 2/3, it's simply the range of a different weapon; see Talk:Range for the comparison). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:14, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
