This skill looks very powerful, being able to shut down almost anything for 8 seconds. Why don't many people use it? Echovald Ranger 01:47, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

Because it takes 20 seconds to recharge and the conditions will be removed in 2 seconds or less, and even if they aren't it only has a coverage of 50%. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 01:51, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Argh Pale you edit conflicted me by like half a second. But I agree. The high energy cost and extremely long recharge are not suitable for an offhand attack. Disgruntled Celery 01:53, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
The recharge is there because the skill is so powerful, so that only makes sense; the energy cost can be mitigated with, for example, Attacker's Insight. Learn to use it properly :)   User Riven sigicon.png    22:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
It's not a bad skill, it's just that it doesn't often facilitate a quick kill, which is what most Sin's seem to obsess about these days. --Ckal Ktak 13:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

use this skill in a descent chain, and u can kill anything in a short amount of time, this suits well with the hit and run tactic sins (ought to) use. get in a fight, kill something with this skill and get out, by the time ur regenerated, this skill wil have recharged... this is also an excellent defensive skills as with a foe blinded and dazed, there isn't many other ways to dmg u big time. I always cary this in a 1v1 scrimmage --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:81.246.158.112 (talk).

condition spike jagged, temple, vampirc, impale, deadly corruption, thats 430dmg+dmg from jagged temple and degen from bleeding, with an IAS its one of the better spiking combos ive seen, terrible for pvp though, to long recharge, good for 1vs1 tho, blind+daze, anti meelee and spellcaster, izzys gonna nerf this cos its allpurpose Annoying And Deadly 23:21, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
You don't even need to make a spike build to make this skill effective. I went with a pressure-style build and killed most casters in my way. Take Flurry to interrupt like a god. You can also take Critical Strike for energy management if that's a problem. --Toroquin User Toroquin Toro icon.png 21:18, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Izzy balances through gvg, this wont be used in gvg, this wont get nerfedOni 07:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, its powerful due to the fact that gives the two shutdown conditions of the game and the Dazed condition been covered by blind which in any case is a total advantage and enough time to finish any kind of foe.--ShadowFog 04:03, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Antidote Signet really hurts this. Noctarch 00:35, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
@ 16 dagger mastery, it lasts 11 secs for blind and daze. slap a silencing mod on ur dags and thats 33% longer daze, which is approximately 3.63 seconds longer, and im guessing it rounds up so thats 15 secs of daze, or 75% coverage. sure this skill has a recharge of 20 and costs 15 energy, but once u figure out how to use it its pretty powerful. just thought i'd share my opinion--Arrythmia User Arrythmia arrythmia.sig.JPG 03:23, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
You should only need 14 dagger mastery+silencing mod to kill someone. If it requires longer for ANY reason, you're doing it wrong. 97.97.199.111 21:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
So far, I haven't seen anyone use this skill correctly in a match. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (τѧιк) 21:25, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
I used to be able to use this skill marvelously on my ranger... Perfect combo of cripple, dazed, blind, healing, IAS (before they nerfed Lightning Reflexes) and constant damage (before they added the PvP version of Death Blossom.) I can't get this skill to work on anything anymore.--Saera Serena 04:08, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Good skill[edit]

This skill is good simply cause any class will be bothered by this, Melees can't hit what they can't see, and caster's can't cast through constant rupts, consider Lotus Strike to recover energy after this. (I use Jagged Strike, Temple Strike, Jagged Strike, Lotus Strike, Horns of the Ox, Falling Spider, Blades of Steel [Hits REALLY hard after that many recharging dagger attacks] then Death's Charge and Heart of Shadow for healing if necessary.) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sierra Invenio (talk • contribs) at 18:36, 16 August 2011 (UTC).

This is a poor skill because it requires you to bring another offhand if you want to use your chain at a reasonable frequency. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 21:19, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
That's like saying Patient Spirit is bad because Word of Healing would heal for more and is an immediate effect...Everything works together in a good build. 71.194.87.164 03:39, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
I really don't know where you could get the idea that our analyses are analogous. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 04:25, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Think of it like Meteor Shower; you don't use it in your main stream of attacks, but you use it whenever it comes in handy, and if it serves its purpose it's extremely effective. This could use a tweak, indeed, but it's one of the less useless Assassin elites. (P.S. tweak concept : 1/2act, 2r, 1...3.4s Blind + interrupt +15...45.60 damage, in pvp 6r, damage+ reduced to +5...18.22 - turning this into an elite worthy of its position, causing extreme pressure in PvP and some serious damage in PvE) 83.82.86.117 20:05, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
I was trying to use this with Falaharn's Spirit Chakrams on a kappa water ele boss hoping that daze might prevent him from dealing lots of AoE damage... and, well, domination/blood spellcaster punishing works much better then dazed, which you also cannot keep even on a single enemy in this way :/ Even exploiting the silly AI which, if enchantment was stripped would try to recast enchantment instead of attacking proved to be better. I never thought of bringing this to PvP, not as assassin primary - there are better assassin elites... but there are worse assassin elites too, so it's kind of in the middle, but will hardly ever see my skillbar anyway. 79.177.232.125 10:21, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
