What happens with the Pet you need to charm for this Quest if you decide against Ranger as secondary Profession? Will you still have it once you change to Ranger again later? SilentStorm 17:30, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Just thought because the Ranger Skills you temporarly get for trying out the second class are removed just like you never knew them. So I will still have my Pet when I reach Lions Arch and change back to Ranger as Second Class even if I choose lets say Monk as secondary Profession for now? requeriment

i can't get this quest with my ranger, since this quest offers troll ungent i skipped the first one (a ranger's test) and doesn't seem to offer me any quest, however Ivor Trueshot did offer me a quest. Is the first skill quest a requeriment for this one? can anyone confirm? --Meheezen 02:26, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Ascalon Academy mission neither active nor completed

If you had the mission active, you wouldn't be anywhere near this area, and if you have it completed you CAN'T be in pre. Remove that part? I tried and cant, dunno what line of code to remove Demonic Fahrir talk 11:39, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

I believe that the note is more of a warning to those is pre-: "Taking Ascalon Academy may bring unforeseen consequences to this quest." You'll notice it on most pre- quests G R E E N E R 18:09, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

It's part of the standard prerequisites template for presearing quests I think. In order to change it, you have to change the temple afaik :/ --Lania 18:35, 06 October 2010 (UTC)

What are the conditions for returning to Nente?

One of my Pre-Searing characters (a monk primary) who is now 19 took this quest from Nente at her earliest levels, charmed the stalker and levelled it up to 18. (I assume that she returned to Nente at the time for the reward, but I honestly can't remember as it was so long ago). Now on returning to Nente to take the Ranger secondary profession, instead of giving /R (or offering her the reward if not taken previously), he just offers her the quest again. What's going on here? The three theories that come to mind are (i) that you must remain in the zone between charming the stalker and returning to Nente, or (ii) that the stalker you return to Nente must have its original level or no evolution, or (iii) that there is a timeout period for the quest, and mine expired. Does anyone know the actual answer? And, what should I do? I don't want to lose the levelled pet by giving it to the trainer. Morgaine 05:41, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Grab the quest w/o giving the pet to the tamer, then see if Nente gives the reward. There's a companion quest in Post-Ascalon requiring presentation of a charmed Stalker. In that one, you can use the Stalker you charmed in Pre and just talk to Nente again. Perhaps this will work the same. 76.164.71.104 11:49, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately he doesn't give me the reward. The quest appears as undone, requiring me to charm the stalker. But I can't charm the stalker because I already have a pet so Charm Animal fails. It even fails if I enter the zone without my pet equipped, take Charm Animal from Nente again, and then try to charm the stalker -- despite the pet not being present, it knows I have one. It seems that I cannot take Ranger as a secondary profession while keeping my level 18 pet. Morgaine 01:35, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

I have the same problem. Level 15 Stalker, I completed all the other secondary quests and I can't get Nente to give me the darn reward without charming a new stalker. WTF. Can we add this glitch/anomaly to the notes? 98.230.31.125 01:31, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
