Name[edit]
Where does the name come from? I doubt that it's called "Guildhall" and not "Guild Hall", and that it's called "Shattered" when there's nothing shattered about it. Also, the name "The Shattered Guildhall" bears no resemblance to "Sunspear Great Hall" (apart from "hall", obviously) -- most of the other Torment versions of areas are "Nightfallen Blah". -- Brains12 \ talk 20:56, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- It was one of those names extracted from the .dat, alongside many of the other landmarks listed here. It is Guildhall, when naming the file I just put a space there, out of habit. I don't think it's meant to represent the Sunspear Great Hall, however, as there is clearly green grass around the structure in the screenshot. This seems to me to indicate it being some other hall. I've often thought perhaps the Cyclone Palace, but it doesn't fit. Gmr Leon 03:33, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm... since there's greenery, it might be Fahranur, or some ruins in Lahtenda Bog. Or in Abaddon's nightmares, the Plains of Jarin became a very green grassland... or perhaps it isn't even a Nightfallen version. -- ab.er.rant 08:17, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't really fit the locations you mentioned. It could possibly be a vision of what is/was being constructed in the Issnur Isles. Gmr Leon 00:42, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- I believe the description from the .DAT says it was "pulled incarnate into the Realm of Torment." Also, I believe the construction in the Issnur Isles you mentioned are the Ruins of Issnur from the .DAT descriptions. Sounds Risky | 00:51, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think so, in regards to the Issnur bit, it looks as though it's still under construction. You can even see mud/clay bricks laying on the ground drying and cranes to lift materials or tools up. Gmr Leon 06:22, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's wayyyy to big to be sunspear great hall, if u look at it from an angle(like from on top of hill behind hench) you will see that it extends farther back then pictured, not only that, but from that same angle you can see a shore line, not a plain, which means is probaly in istan somewhere in the swamps. as far as it being a temple to abaddon... i dont think abaddon would put a giant sunspear in the middle of it. - Well, it could be a nightfallen version of an older SSGH. I just don't think that it's that "great" by itself in its current version. Should be called Sunspear Average Hall. Paddymew 10:06, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
