One could argue that the quote "They only come out at night" is taken from the 1984 film "Aliens", in which Newt suggest they all head back to base after having lost the APC and the Dropship. 87.114.69.98 10:18, 12 August 2008 (UTC) Chris Alexander

well, not too sure about the alien quote, the actual quote from the movie was "They mostly come out at night... mostly." which was also used in Southpark, Cartman used it on a bus with a large monster looming outside.

"They Only Come Out at Night" is also the best selling album of classic rock artist Edgar Winter. Since there are various other things named after classic rock songs and artists, it's also very possible that it is making reference to that.

And seeing as how Edgar Winter was 25 years before Smashing Pumpkins, I'd bet it takes priority. 24.171.23.243 20:06, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
