Talk:Trial by Fire
Dialogue[edit]
"She should be standing here in judgement, not my Sunspears!" <-- Is that the spelling of "judgment" used in the game? It's not inconceivable that Anet used the wrong spelling (Jadoth's Storm of Judgement, anyone?) but in the vast majority of places the word appears in-game, it's "judgment", so I'll change it for now. Would be nice if someone confirmed it, though. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 03:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- Not sure if this issue has ever been solved or not but for anyone else who wishes to comment on the terms of "Judgement" and "Judgment" interchangeably they are both accurate spelling according to Webster's Unabridged 2010 Dictionary. However judgement is usually used in reference of passing judgment, whereas judgment is usually used in context of the actual judging itself (e.g. "The judgement of the court was that the defendant was guilty." and "It would be wise judgment to take the high road." I don't know why this is, but 'tis English.
- You do realize that 'judgement' is not only a valid spelling but actually preferred by some style guides, right? If you're just noting an inconsistency, fine, but it sounds like you think it's a misspelling, and it's not.
- Not that it matters, I guess, as it's been changed in-game to 'judgment'. --Xylia 04:38, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Can skip?[edit]
Is there any way to skip this useless prattle? It has no outcome.. no value.. Ive seen it before on my other characters..24.255.173.120 15:48, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- No, there isn't. —Jette 15:57, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's Anet's punishment for creating a character in Nightfall with the less annoying initial tutorial :P --Iant 18:52, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Leaving[edit]
Should a note be added about leaving before the quest is updated?
That going through the warp to Kamadan causes you to have to talk to Jarek again, and going through the WHOLE trial... all over again - Stimpson J Kat 00:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Needs some more....[edit]
Personally i don't see the need of having this other than storyline filler, which can be done quicker and easier without interactive input. Either give it some definable outcome or reward, or take away the interactive interface and just make it pure auto-dialogue. 98.121.203.31 16:31, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
