percentages[edit]
Can someone double check my percentages please Fall 08:44, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Right now they are all correct Fall. --Kakarot 14:33, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- I have the data in a spreadsheet that calculates it too, so I will correct the percentages from time to time if they are out. --Lemming 17:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Just added some more, haven't calculated the new percentage yet, I'll try to do it. --82.226.7.26 22:40, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Done, it should be ok :)--82.226.7.26 22:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

I opened 100 tot bags, and this was my spread... Pumpkin cookies: 24 Candy corn: 17 Candy apple: 15 Witche's brew: 13 Squash serum: 13 Vial of absinthe: 12 Ghost in a box: 4 Transmogrifier: 2
In case you wanted to add more data..not that it matters much, as event is almost over.. Drewcifer12.206.41.254 06:31, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
I strongly suspect that with more data the ratios would have turned out to be simple 4/2/1 ratios for common/uncommon/rare items. nechronius 08:11, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. Looks like Candy Apples, Candy Corn, and Pumpkin Cookies are all 20% each, Squash Serums, Vials of Absinthe, and Witch's Brews 10% each, and Ghosts-in-the-box and Transmogrifier Tonics 5% each. Glancing over at GuildWiki, their rather larger sampling bears out similar numbers. - Tanetris 14:20, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Strange that the ghost in the box is so rare, it is pretty rubbish though so I am glad it is. I doubt it is coincidence that all the new items are at a higher drop rate. --Lemming 20:17, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Editing that chart scares me so I'm posting this here. I opened 450 bags and got: 20 ghost in the box, 88 candy corn, 110 cookies, 48 squash serum, 47 absinthes, 81 candy apples, 18 transmog tonics, 38 witch brews. purple llama 04:20, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Same here, I dont like editing charts and I dont know if the 08 bags are different than the 07 ones. Here is my first 30 bags: 3 trans tonics, 1 ghost in a box, 10 candy corns, 3 witch's brews, 3 pumpkin cookies, 6 candy apples, 3 squash serums, 1 vial of absinthe. Katherinezoltin 22:37, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- I figure that they are probably the same but if we sign/date all the new entries it should be clear if we need to separate later. Not to mention in the past when they have done that they actually changed the name of the item. --Lemming 22:50, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Who Drops More?[edit]
I wanna know which enemies drop more bags. My guild was saying that in EOTN raptors (or sumtin close to that spelling) was droping like crazy. I also heard the way is to kill alot of enemies quickly.

- I doubt any one mob drops them more. The people that say raptors drop them like crazy are most likely solo farming them, therefore increasing chances of an item dropping for them.--75.94.77.148 08:12, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
OK I found a charr carvings trader in Asclon (after presearing) and he trades 1 haloween item per 3 charr carvings. I went thru The Breach to Dissel area (i thnk thats how u spell it) and it was Charr Land! Breach has charr but the masses are at Dissel Area. I noticed alot of lv 8 but I thnk there some lv 10 there as well. I loaded up on 5 salvage kits, Id kit (holing 100xs use), and only took my healr hero. I crafted anything I didnt need. Good spot. Yesterday more people were doing this too. But, if ur pc can handle PvP, I sugest the "Costume Brawl" . You get faction and 6 bags per win! I racked up wid a 5 game win streak! Just adding more insight for the readers. signed Zhagy Zeven of NkRo
correction: 5 bags
My stats[edit]
Could someone add my stats to this page? 130 trick or treat bags = 5 ghost-in-the-boxes, 14 witch's brews, 31 candy corns, 21 candy apples, 16 vials of absinthe, 15 squash serums, 25 pumpkin cookies, 3 transmogrifier tonics. Thx for helping Nok005 15:16, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- If you are going to do this please PLEASE at least write the items in the order they appear across a row. It makes life about a million times easier. --Lemming 15:24, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Automated calculations?[edit]
Is there no way of making the final totals at the bottom of the calculations automated? This would probably make it much more user friendly for people to add in their totals. As it stands now, even if you want to add totals, many may feel (myself included) that it's just to much of a hassle to recalculate it every time you want to add numbers. Kokuou 02:36, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- No there isn't, though there may be a formula extension for mediawiki? I have all the table in an excel spreadsheet though, so every couple of days I reupdate the totals. Just add your own line and don't worry about the totals. --Lemming 02:45, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, okay, glad to see someone's on the job. Still, makes it more work for you than it should. I'll make sure to add my totals after I've finished farming all my ToT bags, then. :D Kokuou 02:54, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- It really isn't much work once you have the spreadsheet set up. It literally takes about a minute to add a few new lines and update the totals. The zaishen chest one however is a whole different kettle of fish! --Lemming 02:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

faulty data[edit]
In the table user: Blut Elb 22:35, 30 October 2008 (UTC) posted 3113 bags opened. I added up the numbers he reported for each and came up with 3163 bags that would have had to be opened. This makes his 3000+ bags invalid... either it was a typo, or he had stuff in his inventory before opening up all the bags (and there's no way to know which without him coming back). I suggest his data be removed from the table and not included in the calculations.
- I see what you are saying but I don't think the fault is that bad, I imagine he simply typed the total in wrong as a typo considering 3 out of the 4 characters is the same. --Lemming 19:38, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
2009 table[edit]
Any reason to believe the percentages would differ from last year? I highly doubt it. -- Karasu (talk) 19:18, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Totals?[edit]
Do you want the totals at the top, similar to the Gift of the Traveler/Drop rate page? FloppyJoe 16:42, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Assumed drop rate[edit]
well, we seem to have enough data to get the approximate drop rates now with ±1% error only, but... assuming anet works with whole numbers... we should have percentages like 20%, 10%, 5%Nibelhim 13:09, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
