Caster Weapon[edit]
Not sure if anyone sees this - but I'm looking for a caster weapon setup (for mesmer): Do I use a sword/axe/spear - what skin would be nice and what upgrades should I use? Same for shield. -- Karasu (talk) 09:57, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Farming[edit]
If you have any interesting farming builds (especially for crafting materials or mesmers) - please link me to them ^^
Some questionmarks about loot scaling and anti-farm code: Talk:Farming#More_specific_effects -- Karasu (talk) 01:01, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- Farming mesmers? You can... farm Mesmers? Seed of Illusion and Rake of Domination with Water of Inspiration!? My dream has come true. Titani Ertan 15:16, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Alliance Outposts[edit]
Still looking for a page that could explain how holding the outposts work.. -- Karasu (talk) 14:30, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- You mean the Kurz/Lux towns in Factions? Dunno if there's a page, but from what I understand is that each city has some level of importance (i.e., regular towns are less important than challenge mission outposts (like Aurious Mines or Altrumm Ruins), which in turn are less important than the main city (Cavalon or House zu Heltzer)). So as the importance goes up, the cost in faction to control the town also goes up. It is also affected by the amount of alliances that have a ton of faction in them (I've noticed that over the years the required faction to hold the same city has gone up because there are more alliances with a lot of faction now). When the Luxons are winning in AB they can take over Kurz towns, and same when Kurz are winning. When a side takes over the opposing side's towns, the amount of faction needed to control the towns is a lot less than it would be if it was your own side (I've seen some require around 1mil faction instead of 18mil or whatnot), but still works on the same aforementioned idea of "importance of the town."
- I hope that made sense? ^@__@^;; In alternate news, karasu in kanji is 烏 or 鴉 (although the first one also looks very similar for the generic "bird" kanji, 鳥). Just a random note in case you didn't know/actually cared. :op --Dragon nataku 02:27, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's the first sign ;-) Might use it if it computes on all pc's. Thank you for replying. Your answer seems correct, but how do you get to control a town with an alliance? Where does it happen, what do you pay etc.. I know the rewards though. I also heard you had to "fight" with the holding alliance or something =/ idk. Such an important feature in Factions and never documented. :( -- Karasu (talk) 09:20, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- Japanese/Chinese/Korean characters will only show up on computers that have the East Asian language packs installed. So if they didn't choose to install them, the characters will either look like squares or a bunch of question marks, regardless of it being hiragana/katakana/kanji/hanja/traditional Chinese/whatever. Also, having been in a town-controlling alliance at one point or another, I assume that control of towns falls to the alliances with the most faction (i.e., Braveheart World Xi [any] has owned Cavalon pretty much 100% of the time since Factions existed, because they're the Luxon alliance with the most Luxon faction). This is probably why many recruiting guilds/alliances require a daily "drop"/donation of faction (usually 5-10k). You might want to poke Why about the specific mechanics, though, as I've heard he's been in town-owning alliances rather frequently. Personally, the required daily donations got annoying after awhile, in the sense that if I wanted my game time to feel like work, I'd quit GuildWars and get a paying job instead. Also, reduced-price merchant doesn't interest me, and the town I used to co-own didn't even have a Fireworks Master (Leviathan Pits), so I found it to be a waste of time. I like shiney fireworks! :op --Dragon nataku 15:08, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
- 1. Thought so.. 2. So you think that the top Alliances receive the outposts from top to bottom almost automatically? Quite possible, but very strange. I'll give Why a poke about it. Already requested more information about this on the appropriate wiki page here. -- Karasu (talk) 15:16, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Show Preview[edit]
While your working on this it might be easier for you to use show preview so you can scroll view the code and the end result at the same time. Drogo Boffin 17:50, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- I use show preview all the time. The problem with templates is that includes only work when the page has been edited. That's why I (sadly) have no other choice then saving the page and waiting untill the new page is included. -- Karasu (talk) 17:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ah I wasnt thinking of that. Maybe open another page with the code so you can look back and forth and compare. Thats how I do coding when Im having problems. Drogo Boffin 17:55, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well.. The big problem here is that I do not know what to expect. I just have to edit to what I THINK is correct and see how the include works after a few refreshes. -- Karasu (talk) 17:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ive been looking at it and Im not sure what your goal is. Otherwise I would offer suggestions. Drogo Boffin 17:58, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Bots[edit]
The Admin noticeboard really isn't the place for bot requests. Instead, take a look at GWW:BOTS for active bots you can request to make your edits. Wikichu would probably be the best choice. --חיו Chaiyo Kaldor 19:17, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Aah.. that was the page I was looking for ^^ Thx -- Karasu (talk) 19:18, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- np. I really didn't think just searching GWW:BOTS would work, but there it goes. --חיו Chaiyo Kaldor 19:20, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, u can haz new messages :P[edit]
Thanks for fixing that indent problem of mine.--Unendingfear 13:55, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- No problem.. it shows there's some things we need to look after. I already put the two bugs on the appropriate page. -- Karasu (talk) 13:56, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Anchors[edit]
Do you really understand how much work it's going to take to do that? Every single thing that is linked to the Inscriptions page is going to have to be changed. I think you are making it much more difficult for new editors to help. -- Wyn 20:56, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's one small list of items.. And the old method still works. I only asked for these anchors because it would expand the usage of the wiki + every time I looked up an inscription I ended up annoyed searching for it.. -- Karasu (talk) 20:58, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Question for you[edit]
What are these images? Are they for your userspace? I'm a little confused as to what they were; making sure of what they are before I stupidly move/tag them. -- Wandering Traveler 05:42, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
- These were for the Template:Item info. Though four or five of them (those that haven't been tagged by HeavenMonkey) are unused at the moment. In theory they may be deleted. You should ask HeavenMonkey for the source - it is possible that these are extracted from in-game. -- Karasu (talk) 12:56, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Texmod[edit]
stop reverting the cape trim texmod, I've tried all of them and none of them work. If it works for only your guild, at least post a screenshot of your cape so we know how to edit our capes to give them trims. -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).
- There is no reason to remove these mods. They still contain enough data for other people to fix them. All it needs is a message saying these are outdated. I was convinced there was one. -- Karasu (talk) 13:10, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- No, they don't. If you want it to work for other players, just upload the .bmp files of these guilds' capes. Also, if you see "-unsighed" it typically means I don't want to leave a signed comment -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).
- I'm following wiki rules. As long as you're on my talk page and especially since you're an ip I will keep this tag. Like I said before there is no single reason to delete outdated information from mainspace. -- Karasu (talk) 15:07, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- You can't extract bitmaps from a .tpf file... Are you sure you know how texmod works? From what you've been saying, looks like you have no clue... -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).

Aaarrrgggghhhhhh[edit]
Hope you enjoy it! I think the design is interesting and in case you missed this in game; It's hard to find in the inventory. ;0) Kaisha 03:40, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- I love the name and the boss too ^^ I'm trying to do more DoA but PUGs phail.. If you ever had Fozzy's Staff (Hmm I need to upload it's item icon) - that one is much more difficult to spot in your inventory! -- Karasu (talk) 12:11, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
