Talk:Verata (Zaishen quest)
This guy is a pain in the ass in HM, and they want to give us 35 coins for doing it? Well, I'd prefer a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Drago 16:19, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Let me join you then *gets his stick* The way to get there is annoying enough. Not thanks. ~ Dragon 16:44, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- I agree. Yet another Z-Quest I won't do because the reward is just way too low. Xelonir 18:03, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Count me on. I try to do it with henches/heroes, because there is was no other ppls. Waste of time. Compare with 5-10 min run of random heroes/hench group for Fenrir. --217.21.63.10 12:23, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Ill be skipping this one as well ^^ Waldir 18:21, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Pfff, I was thinking we needed to kill him in Traveler's Vale... --Arduinna 18:27, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed with everyone above.-- anguard 22:29, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
One to pass on, yes. But it will be easy for them to adjust these quests wonce they have data from a full cycle. Backsword 22:31, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
As if Verata's Eyes weren't Punishing enough, the reward is a piddly 35 coins. Just thinking of doing it gives me a Migraine. --Lyphen 04:03, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- lol I just had a fun experience, Verata grabbed his WHOLE group and rushed me, wtfpwning my group. Lol. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 08:38, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- Have to agree, pain in the arse to get too and a bloody trek and 35 coins just isn't worth the effort. For this guy in HM it would need to be at least 100 and even then I'm not sure I would do it. -- Salome 11:52, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- It wasn't that hard, only issue was the whole group coming down, which is easily countered by going into a little crevice on the part where the hill starts. Rangers can't hit you, so take out the Shepards & Monk boss, then Apprentices, then Sages, then Eyes. Or just go in, kill shepards/Monk Boss, then Verata, and map out. Your choice, but very easy, getting to him especially. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 20:00, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

He sure is ugly. 70.135.104.185 20:22, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Remember when I was vanquishing the darn area where Verata had his little bbq party. Killed him on the first run, but killing the monks that guarded him took about 10 resurrects at the shrine, which is practically located at the beginning of the area, whereas the monks are at the other end. Jeez, I hate that place. --SkyHiRider 07:39, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- This is ridiculous bad. Verata is about as hard as most dungeons on NM if not HM. The reward is nothing. Don't even bother. On the other hand, if you want to take him down, the key is taking out his healers quick. If even one survives, it will res the whole group. Luckily, they are not very many nor are they very strong. I got lucky and took them out quick by accident. After that, I stood at the base of the cliff nuking his group until there were few enough for me to take on normally. Standing there can prevent his archers from hitting you as they are the major damage dealers of the group.--Shai Halud 23:21, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- I hate how people go in the party and has the stupid quest and we have to walk all the way there for nothing.....----Drug 17:51, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
During Villiany of Galrath[edit]
I can confirm that he appeared while I was doing Villiany of Galrath. I have a screenshot for proof if needed. 64.229.36.65 22:45, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- But not during hard mode version. I did the quest in hard mode, vanquished kessex peak and did not find verata. Carahan 17:49, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- Verata doesn't always appear if Villainy is in play; I would imagine that it's the same for the HM version. (Prophecies has a bunch of situations like this, where collectors or bosses appear only a certain fraction of the time...and where that fraction changes depending on other quests. In other areas, it's almost always always or never.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:13, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just noticed this two years later.. I can't think of any examples of collectors that may or may not appear. Can anyone think of one that springs to mind? -Chieftain Alex 18:41, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
