Has this always inflicted deep wound, or am i right when im thinking that an update made it that way?--Raph User Raph Sig.png 00:13, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

It's been like that since the 4th April, at least. -- scourge 00:18, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Odd, it didnt say that about a month ago. Hmmm....--Raph User Raph Sig.png 18:05, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Goodnight, sweet prince[edit]

I'm calling it. Time of death, 2:12 EST. If they don't seriously nerf Pious Assault, I think it's safe to say that no one will be seeing this except on Melandru bars for a long, long time. Will it be missed? Honestly, I don't really care. --Jette 00:03, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

eh.. who else used it anyways? it's useless to normal dervishes, and on a mel bar it far out does pious assault. --Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 00:15, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Critscythe sins will still use this with assassin's remedy. 80.193.1.106 19:48, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
PA has a higher energy cost and recharge time, and the instant recharge ability has been removed, ergo less spammable, so that kinda balances it out. Would be nice to see a decrease in Weakness duration on WS, though. → BROWNSPANK 07:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with ya... I was testing this thing out in AB and is an non-elite instant gratification and whats better, its spammable with low energy. You apply deep wound and your teammates should kill the target fast and easy, 6 seconds later, do it all over again. A solution if the team's loadout doesnt necessarily calls for a WS(Wounding Strike).--ShadowFog 15:04, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
I guess it could work with avatar of melandru Roflmaomgz 20:19, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

reversion[edit]

There have been multiple revert as to whether it can inflict Deep Wound on a non-fleshy foe. Instead of revert-warring, why not test the skill in-game? --'Mai Yi' talk 22:59, 24 February 2011 (UTC) (edit) AND SCREENSHOT RESULTS

omg EVERY freaking DW applies to non-fleshy foes. theres nothing special about it 88.153.105.75 23:05, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm I did not now that. Well that is what I get for playing Mesmers :) --'Mai Yi' talk 23:09, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Accumulated Pain... thats what you get for playing lame mesmers. you could have known 88.153.105.75 23:22, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
I didn't say that Mesmers cannot inflict deep wound, just that it is not something I do very commonly. Interrupts are much more fun. Calm down Mr./Ms. IP. --'Mai Yi' talk 23:25, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah IP :D --'Mai Yi' {TC} 23:47, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
animate...bone...talkpage! actually his/her tone was very calm. You're the one overreacting here. And yes, this is an IP -> doesn't make what's said any less valid. 131.227.154.148 15:48, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Not enchanted?[edit]

This skill is actually very bad if you aren't enchanted, if you use it,it's just a regular attack that gives you Weakness for 10 seconds, which is generally bad (although it can be used). This is the only scythe attack that does absolutely nothing good unless you are enchanted. A fix making it deal Deep Wound without removal would fix it though, but not my call unfortunately :s . 95.180.84.110 22:38, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Multi-target deep wound needs some sort of offset. Seems fine to me. --JonTheMon 22:44, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
My bad, just tested it, the description is off,the deep wound is actually applied not only to target, but i guess that all scythe attacks deal extra damage and conditions to adjacent, unless if it says otherwise, i am just unsure if you use a Melee attack with a scythe will it give the same effect? For most melee attacks the description says it just affects target foe, still some need to be tested, like Malicious Strike.95.180.84.110 18:22, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
