Talk:White Mantle Zealot (paragon)
Merge: Page is odd one out[edit]
Back in 2010 this page was split because it demonstrably had Leadership investment. Obviously a tome drop would be the big answer, but nobody's confirmed one either way. However, I'd point out that a bunch of other WiK bars have illegal attribute distributions, either >12 in a secondary profession's attribute at level 20, and there is at least one other case of weird (and most likely investment in two primary attributes) in the Peacekeeper Enforcers with Intimidating Aura. There are a few others that are likely, eg White Mantle Devotee with Reaper's Sweep.
Granted, maybe the thing to do is gather some more evidence that these guys do in fact have two primary attributes going on at the same time (eg tomes, or measure damage of crit Furious Axe or Malicious Strike off the Devotee or Flail duration on the Enforcer), but this page is an outlier in that none of the other builds with dubious primary professions have their own page. Why keep it as the odd one out? Loggy (talk) 14:28, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- Just got The Holy Avenger from this bar, too! Loggy (talk) 00:53, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- There's lot of rule breaking with enemy attributes, health, energy, and armor, but at the time that I advocated for these pages to be split it seemed to be the case that no enemy had non zero values for two different primary attributes, and that a non zero primary attribute was always definitive proof of a primary class. I may have also been a bit possessive of NPC pages at the time and wanted to make this page technically correct even if it was overall bothersome and unnecessary. Due to some weird rounding issues they probably have the same armor values even though they appear slightly different depending on how much damage you do. The War in Kryta did a lot of new things with foes, so I admit that it's possible that this primary attribute rule was also broken. I have no problem with merging this page into the other White Mantle Zealot page, though Paragon should probably be added to the professions in the infobox, like on the Devotee page. - Thank you so much for coming back and replying, I really never expected anyone to reply, let alone the person who did this 14 years ago! I feel like I should maybe objectively show that one of these bars has two primary attributes before going ahead and doing anything, though. Damage and armor rounding isn't ideal, so maybe mirrored stance on an Enforcer is the way to go... Loggy (talk) 00:44, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
