Yes ResolvedCreation of "supertemplate" and kept this one

I think we should use the proper naming for the template, not an ingame abreviation.--§ Eloc § 16:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I asked about this some weeks before and Anja's argument was that the armor pages (which use this template) will contain too much code then.. My proposal was to create a template {{mat|<material>|<number>}} which automatically generates "<number> <materialicon>".. So we can use {{mat|Glob of Ectoplasm}} and {{mat|Ecto}} poke | talk 16:05, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
That sounds like a pretty good idea. It would pretty much eliminate all of the current material templates and merge them into one super template!--§ Eloc § 16:07, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't like supertemplates. I like templates that's easy to use :P We can of course create Template:Ectoplasm and redirect it here. - anja talk 16:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Aww, but supertemplates make it easier to remember (with {{material|Material X}}) rather than remembering things which aren't even properly named all the time, (ie {{Iron}} and {{Ecto}})--§ Eloc § 16:10, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
{{mat|ecto|10}} -> 10 Globs of Ectoplasm :) poke | talk 16:31, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Super-templates are easier for regular editors to use, not so for a huge majority of other users. -- ab.er.rant sig 16:36, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
I still think 10 {{ecto}} is alot easier, both for me and new editors. - anja talk 16:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Anja. By all means, go ahead and create the supertemplate for all those who want to use it, but do not delete the intuitive one. --Xeeron 18:41, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
So we'll keep both?--§ Eloc § 22:27, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes. Also, "ecto" is a widely accepted term among the general Guild Wars community, thus, there's no reason to not use it. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 22:30, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
