Mutually exclusive

Should we include a parameter for mutually exclusive quests? -- Gordon Ecker 03:44, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm all for that. Mutually exclusive with: xxxxx. Calor Talk 04:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Duration

The mission infobox has a "duration" parameter, and I find it fairly helpful for missions I don't remember very well. Should we add it here? Calor Talk 00:50, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't see the point of it as quests pretty much just lead to one explorable area to another and you can take a break from them at any time. At best, a quest might have medium length, none are really super long with a quest marker. — Eloc 03:38, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Why does every edit you make have to be meaningless? 74.14.106.47 03:39, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
I dunno, yours seem pretty useless from what I've seen so far. — Eloc 03:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
I would prefer it to be removed from the mission infobox instead. It's only helpful if you know the tastes of the regular editor and thus know what they might mean with the value, which is in fact entirely subjective. It takes different types of players and builds vastly different amouts of time to complete things.Backsword 13:12, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. — Eloc 02:38, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

campaign2 parameter?

Should a campaign2 parameter be added for quests that require more than one campaign (Category:Multi campaign quests)? For instance, All for One and One for Justice could be auto-categorized as both a Prophecies and Nightfall quest and show up in both the Prophecies and Nightfall quest lists. Currently, these quests are inconsistent with the value provided for the campaign parameter, and it's not clear to me which campaign has priority. Tedium 06:37, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Given by

Since EotN uses primary repeatable quests as replacements for missions, the quest infobox is slightly incompatible with the label of "Given by". It was suggested (from here) that it be renamed to "Initiated by" instead, since some of the primary repeatable quests are not actually given by a particular NPC, but triggered or added automatically after a certain event or NPC interaction. The alternative would be to create a separate quest infobox just for EotN primaries. I think "Initiated by" should easily encompass both the original meaning and the slight difference in EotN, no? -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 17:54, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

I clearly support, but am posting more because there is a glitch that is causing this page to require an "oldid" tag and showing an older version as the current. Hopefullly having another post will update this to the current revision... Mohnzh say what? 18:03, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Add a 'mini-game' type?

There are activities that have many but not all of the characteristics of quests. For example, they have starters, are repeatable and do not appear in the quest log. They do not usually provide experience points as part of their reward.

If they are not quests, then simple do not use the quest infobox. Just like you wouldn't use it for locations or NPCs. Backsword 17:26, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
These are currently listed as 'Secondary' quests and are currently using 'Quest inforbox's. That is they can be considered a cousin of a quest if not a real quest. mtew 17:37, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Could you point to examples? -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 15:14, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
'The Prize Winning Hogs' and 'The Bear Hunters' are the two that triggered this. mtew 16:05, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
