Formula[edit]

What is the formula used to calculate the progression?

Rank 0 value + ( ( Increment * (Rank 12 value - Rank 0 value) ) / 13
Where the increment is a percentage of the divisor (in this case 13)

Update notes[edit]

(Repeating what I said here)

My update to this template was to add rounding to the input rank 1 value - the progression starts at a whole value at rank 0 - and all intermediate steps are rounded. (Thus a rank 1 input can't be rounded.) Someone brighter than me could probably work out the equations for the progression if we just left the input values as rank 0, and how to hide the rank 0 column. Why the at1 changes?[edit]

Internally, the game is using at0-values to calculate the others. Since the value at rank 1 may already contain rounding, using the ingame-value may lead to rounding errors in other ranks. Working around that using edits like these is a much worse solution than just entering the at0-value.

The at0-value is apparent from the game for 6 out of 10 skills using Signet of Illusions, for the others it's easy enough to guess (and, in fact, already well-known).

Are there any reasons for the change? Any advantages I'm missing? Tub 11:38, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

I removed rank 0 since characters cannot learn allegiance skills until they are rank 1, but I had forgotten about Signet of Illusions and Symbolic Celerity. I'll revert the changes to the templates later if there are no objections. --Silver Edge 19:06, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
