Template talk:Vanquisher kill count
Calculation error[edit]
I think that average kill count calculation is actually wrong. At Vanquisher almost every row has a higher average value than min and max. - MSorglos 03:17, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- It's making this calculation: Minvalue + Maxvalue/2. It should do (Minvalue + Maxvalue)/2. I'm not sure how this code works, but I'll try to fix it. - Anja (talk) 03:45, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- I think it works correct now, tell me if it doesn't. I might have messed up the xp and gold count, not sure how those are calculated. - Anja (talk) 03:48, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
- Gold = average*3; XP =average*5. You should do the rounding before multiply, otherwise some values (such as Old Ascalon) are wrong. Average value looks fine now. - MSorglos 03:51, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
- As a side note, (Minvalue + Maxvalue)/2, is NOT the necessarily the average and it is most likely that for the values here, the average is in fact different. On the other hand, the difference is bound to be small. --Xeeron 11:46, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Totals[edit]
Is this template robust enough to provide a total at the end of every separate region in GW? I think it isn't, but perhaps DynamicPageLists might be able to do that. I think it might be nice to have a final row for each region and each campaign stating the total for all Vanquishers, but I guess such a row probably has to be done manually. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 03:44, 1 May 2007 (EDT)
Faction/Promotion/Reputation points[edit]
As of the recent update which added points for vanquishing an area; Faction for areas in Factions, Promotion points for areas in Nightfall and Reputation points for areas in Eye of the North; should we make a new column for Average points which calculated the average number of points based on the average number of monsters killed? --Kakarot 21:27, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, add it. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:45, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
When count is unknown or disputed[edit]
We should include a provision for marking a zone as having an unknown or disputed count. This temporary condition can last for weeks or months for areas introduced in various Beyond content. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
