About Stephen The Scythe
As a young boy, Stephen loved to play with fire. Every single person in his village thought he would grow up to be one of the greatest elementalists the world had ever seen. Then one day, corsairs raided the village and murdered everyone around him, then burned the village to the ground. Stuck inside of a burning house, Stephen did not know what to do. Then a woman with majestic white wings entered the building and pulled him out as it collapsed. The woman called herself Dwayna, and placed a scythe in his hands. She told him that it would defend him so long as he learned how to control it. He thanked her and she flew into the heavens.
It was that day that Stephen decided to leave behind the reckless nature of fire, and mastered the scythe that was given to him. He swore to protect those in need, just like the Goddess Dwayna had done for him.

Requirements for this build to work:
  • Scythe Mastery: 12
  • Mysticism: 12 + 3 + 1
How to use:
Step 1: Ok, first, before you charge into battle, keep in mind that this is designed to be a spike in the sense of you run in and start blasting the enemy. With that it is likely you will take a bit of damage, that is where the Avatar of Dwayna comes in. What you do is cast Avatar of Dwayna, before Aggroing the enemy (expecially if they can interrupt it), then you run in to a group and cast Eternal Aura.
Step 2: Beware of lag, sometimes I encounter in in this step. Following Eternal Aura cast either Heart of Holy Flame or Zealous Renewal, but make sure you are still near enemies, these deal significant damage to multipul foes, the more the merrier. Be sure to cast the other as soon as you get the chance (peferrably without delay). If that didn't kill the creature, keep going to step 3.
Step 3: This is where your first three spells take effect. If Avatar of Dwayna isn't healing you enough, strip off one of your enchantments with Twin Moon Sweep, that should give you a little jump. If you strip off Eternal Aura, it will recharge all skills. Also, by now you might be running low on energy, if so, use Eremite's Zeal (keep in mind that you must be near at least 2 enemies for it to do anything of value). Any time you feel it is needed, use Pious Assault to deal a bit of extra damage, it does recharge instantly if it strips off an enchantment, but is not required to use. Once you do get rid of Eternal Aura it will recharge Avatar of Dwayna, that is great for long battles, but can be interrupted if you try.
Notes: As stated in the beginning of this, you will be dealt some damage, so you could bring along some Healer Heros/Henchmen, also, an interrupter Hero/Henchmen could be useful. Although you could tank effectively with this, you might want to bring along a Warrior or a second Dervish. Cynn makes great heavy support for this as she attacks at a range, if you can keep the brunt of the force on you, she can blast them also. Just play around with it and have fun!
Some Counters:
  • Lag, this could be your biggest enemy, and is regarded as highly dangerous.
  • Skill interruption, expecially when using the AoE spells
  • Ether Feast, if you get down low on energy and someone constantly casts this on you, your energy will keep low and will not recharge efficently enough to do anything.
  • Aggroing many groups, sometimes this can't be avoided, but will make it extremely hard to recover health.
Enemy monks can be annoying, expecially if you don't see them, or they charge in and heal the group you are fighting (usually bringing their group also). Make this a priority to eliminate them first, this should help make battles a lot shorter.
