Hello, I'm Arachanox! I'm not going to bother with all the fancy templates and such, because I am a strict PvP'r, meaning I have little to no PvE achievements to display. I have an Elementalist who is stuck in the Southern Shiverpeaks and a Dervish who is currently residing in Abbadon's Gate, but other than that I brew up builds all the time and test them out daily. Stop by my discussion page and say a few words and I'll be sure to respond as soon as I can!

Here are a few examples of my PvP builds, all of which I have come up by myself. Though my Shatterstone build bears some resemblance to others, I suppose those are just some obvious skill pairings at work, but with all honesty I respect build originality. I use PvXwiki merely to see if anyone else has come up with my ideas. Keep in mind that I don't share my most effective build here ;)

Spoil Victor - N/Me[edit]

(Blood Magic 16) (Illusion Magic 10) (Soul Reaping 8)

Spoil Victor.jpgDark Pact.jpgVampiric Gaze.jpgSignet of Lost Souls.jpgStrip Enchantment.jpgImagined Burden.jpgIllusion of Weakness.jpgConjure Nightmare.jpg

This build was designed for Alliance Battles, though it has a bit of usefulness in the Random Arenas. Cast Illusion of Weakness before battles, and seek out a proper target for Spoil Victor. Good choices include Assassins, Rangers, and Dervishes, who like to spam attacks and therefore trigger plenty of Spoil Victor. Use Dark Pact to deal damage as well as lower your own so that anyone who attacks you triggers Spoil Victor. Remember - it's ok for your health to get low as long as Illusion of Weakness is up. Playing this build is a balancing game of letting your health get low but not too low. Vampiric Gaze is for life steal and for finishing off weakened foes. Signet of Lost Souls is used for health and energy management. Strip Enchantment helps to remove vital enchantments, and since it removes two, it can even remove cover enchantments. Imagined Burden is for stopping enemies from running away in Alliance Battles. Finally, Conjure Nightmare is for heavy health degeneration for whatever purpose you need.

Shatterstone - E/A[edit]

(Water Magic 16) (Energy Storage 10) (Fire Magic 8) (Shadow Arts 2)

This build was also designed specifically for Alliance Battles, but I use it to farm faction in the Zaishen Challenge all time. Precast Water Attunement before battles, as well as Glyph of Immolation. Locate the nearest Assassin (or other non-spell caster) and cast Steam to temporarily disable them with blind. Then focus on whatever primary target you desire and cast Shatterstone. Preferably, choose a target who is not enchanted, because then you cast Vapor Blade. Follow up with Steam and repeat as necessary. I used to be infuriated by all the players who are quite skilled at running away with 10 health or so, hence I created this nifty strategy to ending them, permanently. When you see someone running away on the bring of death, use Dash to get within spell range and then use Death's Charge, followed by Winter's Embrace. Now that he's moving 90% slower for 6 seconds, spike at will until he dies. I prefer Water Spiking over Fire Spiking, by the way.

Psychic Distraction - E/Me[edit]

(Domination Magic 12) (Inspiration Magic 9) (Energy Storage 7) (Illusion Magic 6)

Psychic Distraction.jpgEnergy Blast.jpgEther Feast.jpgUnnatural Signet.jpgBackfire.jpgPhysical Resistance.jpgBlackout.jpgResurrection Signet.jpg

Unlike my other builds, which are more focused towards Alliance Battles, this is a Random Arenas/Team Arenas one. It uses Psychic Distraction to interrupt everything, but most importantly, resurrection skills. Before battle, check to see if the enemy has many elementalist spellcasters. If so, do not use Physical Resistance, as you will doom yourself to spikes. Cast Backfire on their monks and then help your team with Energy Blast and a little bit of Psychic Distraction. The moment the first enemy dies, however, it is time you enter Panic Overdrive Mode, as I have deemed it. Run in circles constantly while using the [ and ] keys to cycle through the enemies and find who's trying to resurrect their allies. Then start using Psychic Distraction to prevent them from doing so. Once the first enemy dies, the rest usually fall like cards once they realize they are on their own. While this isn't a gimmick build, it certainly is a lot of fun!
