Frenzybot refers to a special type of warrior focused on the non-elite skill that really deserves to be elite Frenzy.

General Principle[edit]

The Frenzybot depends on keeping Aura of the Lich AND Frenzy up constantly, thus attacking 33% faster ALL THE TIME, while avoiding the "take double damage" aspect of Frenzy in the first place. Its success depends on staying at least four aggro bubbles away from anyone with any kind of degen or enchant control.

Basis[edit]

All Frenzybots are Necromancer/Warriors. As soon as the Frenzybot (or the Frenzybots) have closed in on one target, they immediatly put up Aura of the Lich and go into Frenzy mode, unleashing their fury on their enemy, effectively starting a chainkill reaction amongst the ranks of the other team.

Other common skills for Frenzybots are Vampiric Touch, used to drain life away from your enemies, Axe Rake to keep them from running away from you so you can drain their life, Life Siphon for some more distance life draining (for rangers and such, since they tend to run away when they see they're being overpowered), and Penetrating Chop to power through the flimsy armor that most squishies have.

Side skills[edit]

The rest of the skills can be things like Signet of Lost Souls to improve energy management, Animate Bone Fiends to get more troops on your side, Blood Ritual for when the Starburster eles on your team need more energy to nuke, or Thrill of Victory to finish off dying foes.

Battle behavior[edit]

Much of the Frenzybot's effectiveness and fame results from the very quick and painful burst of spike damage that can be applied to enemies by attacking 33% faster. A balanced team with four Frenzybots, three Starbursters and a healer monk (always check his skillbar to make sure he's not a smiter), can be devastating for groups of enemies which fail to run away into their base quickly enough.

Alliance battles: Star bursters were heavily used in alliance battles, reaping benefits from the usually large number of enemies to kill there and the large area that allowed fleeing from degen necros or mesmers.

Team Arena & Heroes Ascent: Teams of multiple Frenzybots can spike opponents, both aware and unaware, and win quickly. However, they fare only OK against prepared teams, since most of them have some kind of enchant control, for some weird reason.

GvG: Frenzybots are very efficient in GvG too.

Disadvantages[edit]

Despite the awe-inflicting damage output, the Frenzybot suffers from several large disadvantages. Necromancers and mesmers on the opposing team are a bad sign, since they will strip Aura of the Lich, which means that you will be taking double damage until the next time Aura recharges. Plus, they can use Life Siphon and Conjure Casper on you, to make you lose health right through Aura. And since necros and mesmers are 2 professions out of 10, that means that in every 12vs12 Alliance Battle there will be 2.4 mesmers and necros against you! You need to make sure not to aggro them, otherwise it might make the battle tough even for a Frenzybot.
