Hey! Guess what the Z Combat is for tooooday? That's right! Jade Quarry! Guess I know what I'm doing tonight. Again...big pink necro probably equals me, although I'm planning on taking the quest on a bunch of characters since it's one of my favorite things in game to do.
We're also planning on running Shard of Orr tonight because Lins and I are both fiending for staffs (fine...staves :p) that have a chance of dropping in Fendi's chest at the end. I'm mildly scared, though. Last time I tried Shards I pugged and we got the snot beat of us. I'm hoping we'll have better luck as a team sitting in the same room, though :)
I'm super excited to get home and play tonight. I've got a game plan and a big excel sheet of stuff I want to do on each of my characters, so it's been on my brain all dang day. It's driving me nuts!
In unrelated news, our office park is teeming with critters of all ages and sizes. I've been trying to get out and take at least a 15 minute walk every day, so I've been watching babies grow up and more pop out each time. Today's critter sighting list: about 10 Mallard ducks and babies, about 10 Canadian geese and their gangly, almost fledgling babies, 5 turtles hanging out on logs, one baby Blue Heron, a bunch of extra chirpy Red Winged Blackbirds, and more bunnies than GToB.
I got hissed at by one of the male geese. It took me back to my childhood and the geese we used to have on the farm. After a few years, we had a horde of about 20 white birds that chased people around. They'd actually surround cars when they pulled up, lol. Man, I miss those guys. I think my roommates would move out if I tried to add geese to my bird collection at home, though.
Anyways, again. Jade Quarry! Yay! Hope to see lots of folks in there tonight!

Yay! This weekend is Memorial Weekend, so I'm looking forward to an extended few days out of the office. On the list of awesomeness:
- Seeing Terminator Salvation tonight (*squeee*)
- Heading out to The Gorge on Sunday to see one of my favorite bands, Nine Inch Nails
- Playing as much Jade Quarry as I can for double faction weekend with Lins, John, and Sean
- Grilling stuff with Lins (who is a ridiculously awesome cook)
- Trying to enjoy the sun without getting too burnt
As another note of awesome, we got a box today from Wyn! It housed two big bags of spicy hot chocolate for the Live Team, which was purchased with funds that a bunch of you guys donated. This is incredibly awesome, and everyone on the team is really excited. Thank you guys SO much!!! ♥ Chocolate is one of my favorite things, so I'm restraining myself from stuffing a bag under my shirt and running out to my car with it...haha ;)
Back to wiki stuff really quickly, here's something quick to note. My main IT wiki guru is taking a road trip with his family, so he's out of the office for a few weeks. Because of that, I'll need to take a different route for tech requests and bug fix requests. That's not to say I won't still push them through, but it may take a little longer for resolution because he's the guy that's most intimately familiar with this wiki and it's guts. So keep that in mind when you're posting stuff to the wiki bugs and tech requests areas!
I hope all of you guys have a rad weekend, and get to enjoy the sun (if you've got it where you're at) and lots of GW. Go play JQ, and if you stomp all over a big pink necromancer named Distressa, that's probably me ;)

Wow, it's May already. Crazy!
The big anniversary update is live, so I should have some more time to work with you guys on some of the wiki projects I haven't been able to get to in a few months. I'm starting my inner celebration by redoing my userpage. If you see things that look funky for a while, I'm probably still working
I hope everyone is enjoying the update as much as I am. I've been playing with Lins and the rest of the crew pretty much every night since it hit, and we've have been having a blast. Distressa got a wacky new pink do, and I've been able to make progress on my hard mode stuff every day with the Z Challenges. I've also rediscovered the joy of stuff like Jade Quarry, which I hadn't really done much of before it came up as a daily. It's really cool to see so many people channeled into areas that just didn't have a bunch of traffic before. Now, instead of seeing people spread all over the place doing their own things, you get to see a concentrated mass of folks all working towards the same goals. ToA had FIVE districts last night when we went out to kill Rotscale. When the heck does THAT happen? So awesome
Oh, and finally...how awesome is Nicholas and Yakkington? I remember John talking about the idea for those guys years ago when I sat in the system design room, so it's really cool to see them finally brought to life in this update. Katy's wallpaper has been on my desktop since I first got it in my inbox. For those who may have missed it, you can grab it here. It's a painting of baby Yakkington keeping Nicholas alive in the storm outside of Traveler's Vale, and it's freaking adorable.
OK, going to scoot off and work more on my userpage. Take care, everyone!
