General Tips[edit]

  • Be ready before joining a team. There are a lot of impatient people in the outpost waiting for the match to begin. It's in everyone's best interest that you have your build and attributes in order before joining a group.
  • The "4-4-4" you will sometimes see people spamming in teamchat before the countdown hits zero means that each team of four should occupy one gate. This is not a hard concept. Stick with your team; by going off with another team, you are putting your team at a disadvantage when they run into their first enemy squad, and they'll also cap the first shrine slower.
  • It is also not necessary to carry a form of resurrection. Ressing happens automatically after a few seconds and players do not incur a death penalty.
  • A speed boost increases your chances of survival significantly.
  • Don't let yourself be distracted by lone enemies wandering across the map or tanks holding everyone up.
  • Know your build's strengths and weaknesses and don't go toe-to-toe with enemies you may not defeat. He who lives to cap another shrine and all that :)
  • Don't get caught up in a huge battle over a shrine unless your side is way ahead and you can afford to have some fun :P
  • The ele shrine usually eats people alive. Don't go in there unprotected. It remains fun to lure unsuspecting C-space-go enemies in after you if it's under your side's control, however.
  • Win first, then brag.

Strategy[edit]

  • If you exit your base on Saltspray Beach and head for one of the ranger shrines, if you hug the wall you can remain undetected from enemies spawning on the shore Resurrection Shrine (if it is under enemy control).
  • Non-LoS casters can stand behind the pillars at the ranger shrine on Grenz Frontier to do their job. This way they remain in cap range while the rangr NPCs can't hit them.
  • The minimap ("U") is an important tool in keeping track of how the battle is going. It shows all shrines and under whose control they are. Blue = Kurzick; red = Luxon.
  • Take advantage of the fact there will be like one guy in a dozen matches who will have any form of enchantment removal :P
  • Ditto the condition/hex removal. Blindbots own the (sin-heavy) AB "meta" because one out of about ten people will bring condition removal.
  • Any Barrow ranger can take over any shrine as long as he has a longbow.
