Welcome!
Hi Ghosst :D Welcome to GWW! I notice you have been building your userpage. Did you know you can use the Show Preview button to see how it's going to look prior to actually saving it? Also, when you make small changes, it's often better to select This is a minor edit box above the Save page button. Many users that watch the Recent changes page have minor edits hidden thus your small changes would not show up. The image you uploaded Image:Ghosst Profile.jpg does not meet with image naming policy. You will need to reupload it with a name that is appropriate i.e. User Ghosst profile image.jpg.You may wish to review the Image Use Policy for proper naming of your images. Feel free to contact any helper if you have questions. Anyway, happy wiki-ing and welcome! -- Wynthyst 15:43, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed the picture took on the wrong filename. Feel free to mark that one for deletion. The minor edits shouldn't be showing up, but the new pages should since they are major changes. Thanks for the pointers BTW. Ghosst • Talk • 15:52, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Miniature template
Heya, I notice you copied over my mini template, I think I should warn you that I missed a few. They have all been added now, so you may want to get a fresh copy :D -- Wynthyst 09:54, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- lol, still missing the hydra entry though on the input page. Thanks for the info and template, and reminding me to update it. Ghosst • Talk • 12:48, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Regina's talk page
When I asked for you and Erasculio to drop the dispute between you, I didn't mean that you should leave the wiki. All I asked was that both of you stop going personal in order to argue your case.
Now that you mention it though, there's something I'd like to discuss -- "because the majority of player's opinions are more important than an individual's, a lesson few people seem to understand". I think it's important that we don't think of only numbers, i.e. "the majority of player's opinions", but think more of the reasons, logic and outcomes of those opinions. Put merit towards each argument rather than the number of people arguing. Although that may seem bad for a multiplayer game, it should turn out successful in the long term. Most players don't know what they're talking about (sometimes that includes me, too), so it's not a very good idea to think only on the number of people. If an argument is good, it's likely it's got the game's best interests at heart. You're probably fed up of hearing that, but it's true. If the game is good, the players are happy. -- Brains12 \ talk 14:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I realized exactly what you meant; but the two are sadly related. I would imagine this wasn't the first time he's been warned and yet still he continues, even in his latest post to jab at me constantly. His arguements are weak and unfounded. Anything that doesn't have to do with his interests is worthless and too time consuming because he would like ArenaNet to focus solely on his interests.
- I posted on Regina's page not out of personal interest but seeing that Xylia's points were skipped over by his repetitive remarks about how no one is thinking about the game. Xylia has a good point but a well rehearsed rant that is constantly used over and over is taking away from a valid stance.
- As far as what is good for the game, sadly even if the players aren't always informed, they are the ones who pay the bills. If you piss the majority of them off and they give up, you will find GW2 follows the same path as Soldner2. There, a developer had the same stance as Erasculio and ruined the game because he thought his version of the game should be the only one. In the end he was fired but the damage was done. The development team soon had their own contract pulled for following in his footsteps. I left the company shortly before that came to pass because I, along with most of the players, could see it coming.
- For the record, I did post a simple solution to Ursan which is overlooked. I'm sure if he found fault with my suggestion he would have told me how impossible it was to code when he doesn't even know how to code. But he wants it nerfed entirely which is a dangerous stance to take. However we all know what happens to squeaky wheels. I haven't posted a return jab because I don't think it's worth the time. Besides, I'll just end up banned, while he is free to insult other members (and don't give me BS about his Pong comment not violating NPA because it's as plain as day). I left my solution to Ursan unsigned so he could take credit unfortunately one of the ops decided to sign it for me. I'd just like him to be quiet long enough for other people to be heard.
- Finally, my suggestions for guildhall NPCs aren't a waste of time. In fact, he's the only person unhappy with them because it has nothing to do with Ursan and seeing enough people agree means there might be less interest in what he wants taken away. Ghosst 15:02, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I can see by the lack of response it's okay when one of "the guys" is abusive, and that their opinions are observed because they've been on the wiki bitching for long enough that they can get away with anything, and have anything they want implemented no matter how destructive it will be. That's why I won't bother to contribute ... it's pointless. Ghosst 21:12, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- lol it's already an op-wide bias. I found the evidence people have complained before. I've shown proof he continues. You've provided proof it's ok if he is abusive, but that if I have a valid point I should shut up. I took my pill, I learned that only certain people are allowed to have an opinion, even if I agreed with it and provided a solution. Because the solution isn't what was wanted, it was the right person with the solution that's more important it is ignored.
- As an admin you are supposed to be impartial. Human beings aren't though, and for that I give a little leeway. But blindly turning your head from an obvious NPA violation because you agreed with one side of a debate is an abuse of position. I should not have expected better given what I've done for a living, but then again I have that silly faith in my fellow man. It's a habit you're teaching me to ignore. Ghosst 21:43, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- If I was biased, why are you also not banned as Erasculio is not banned? I addressed you both because what I saw was coming from both sides. You said you were leaving, so I came here to clear something up -- I don't want people to leave. Any bias, any hindering of others' opinions, and any mention of "shut up" (whether implied or otherwise) from the 'higher ups' is non-existent. You have to realise that some people disagree with your argument -- not because they are biased or that they don't like you, but because they just don't agree with your reasons.
- With "NPA violations", some do have to be ignored -- it makes it easier to continue a reasoned debate. In fact, that's one of the first steps written on the policy. (Also, these "obvious NPA violation[s]", as you call them, are coming from both sides.)
- If you wish to contact another administrator for their opinion, feel free to ask on the admin noticeboard. -- Brains12 \ talk 22:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Of course some people disagree with me, that is normal, it allows for people to be individuals. However, I do my absolute best not to resort to name-calling or NPA violations. Where I step over the line I want to know because if I've been that ignorant of the rules, I need a smack in the arse. But I expect the same treatment for everyone.

Simple and Easy Fix
You know who you are. Watching "Untraceable" one too many times and having a lack of vocabulary broad enough to express yourself without resorting to colorful metaphors does not make you l33t. It makes you a target. The admins here may be scared or unwilling to put an end to you, but I don't work for them.
PS: Proxies log your IP. Following it back to you is easier than you think. Oh BTW, cute Linux build ...
Oh man.
Your user page is so hot. I totally got the imagery there. Vael Victus 00:23, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- lol, try the revision history. Ghosst • Talk • 05:13, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- No. Vael Victus 12:48, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Hmm
Erasculio was asked for an example. Your number got picked. You, naturally, got angry for being singled out. The downfall comes when you realize that someone had to be singled out - it was a no-win scenario as soon as an example was requested. Nothing much you or anyone can do in that situation - so just be the better man and ignore it, imo.
Also noteworthy is the fact that you proved him completely wrong as soon as you engaged in the discussion. ;)

- I pay zero attention to the wiki drama, and found his recent complaint purely by fate. I have noticed him single someone out and then suck up to a mod right afterward proclaiming how he is so sorry. So in this instance I had no choice but to speak up. Why he is so fixated on me is a little concerning ... I have a male stalker and I can't say I like it. That a certain mod is foolish enough to not be able to see through him removes my faith in natural selection. For the most part I just let them rub each other's egos and leave it at that.
