  1. They were the Burnt Warband. Raze Burntsoul was their leader.

This band once held the dubious honor of being the most looked on warband, after their two of their host were killed owing to bad tactics.

In a time where the Humans were calling their gods to help them fight.

The Burnt warband would turn the tables and help the Charr advance in the war.

  2. That day the group was assigned the most menial task possible - patrolling the border between the territories of the Norn and the Charr. It had been peaceful for years, due to the unspoke treaty between the races, but that was about to change. Small wisps of smoke rose out of a clearing just ahead, and the band crept closer.

Once within striking distance, it was easily to tell what they were. No rowdy group of Norn ready to beat them for a laugh, but a group of humans hurriedly checking their surrounds.

As any good Charr would do, the group prepared to slaughter their foes...

  3. Readying their weapons, Bruntsoul signaled the attack and the Charr ran headlong into the open field. Expecting the humans to be in the midst of eating their mid-day meals, they were stunned to find the camp empty.

It did not stay that way for long. Several of the humans ambushed them from the edges of the ridge, however they were no match for the determined Warband. Burntsoul barked orders at his allies to chase down the fleeing humans.

They rabidly chased them across the ridge, stalking down the messengers that tried to escape. However, it felt like they were just out of reach, until the image of Hrangmer rose in the distance.

  4. The group finally cornered the fleeing humans at the edge of the volcano Hrangmer, quickly beating them into submission.

The leader tried to beg for his life, but his pleas were cut off as a monster of fire stalked up out of the caldera and scilenced him. Menacingly, the Titan turned his gaze on the Charr, who barely kept him at bay. As they readied for the inevitable death, the creature did something unexpected - it spoke.

Praising the Charr for their martial abilities, it explained that the Charr were just the race they were looking for. There was however a problem. The Charr needed to prove their destructive worth on more then just one target.

  5. The Titan lead them to the outskirts of a village in the shadow of the volcano, where a militia waited their arrival. He gave but one command - burn it to the ground.

The Charr were all too willing to comply. Charging into the town they burned the focal points of the village to the ground, using their new found abilities in the flame to make sure nothing would remain. They called upon other lesser Titans to help in the carnage, until smoke hung heavily in the air.

Standing victoriously amongst the still burning structures, the Burnt warband made the decision for all Charr. They swore loyalty to their new found gods.

  6. The Titans proved to be a much more ample group of deities then the Charr expected. Charr society swiftly altered to accept the holy leadership of Shaman caste.

Though some, notably the female Charr, refused to follow the new gods, rebellion was almost unheard of after a short time. Victories continued to mount as the Charr pushed towards the Great Northern Wall, crashing upon it like a wave. In their time of need, the Titans blessed them with a way to bring it down.

The Charr had defeated their enemies, the humans of Ascalon, and set their sights in Kryta and Orr.

Quietly, the Titan who had lead them to this age smiled. All way going to plan...
