They listened? (Kinda)

Seems they listened to what was being said about GvG... who would've guessed? It logged me off, which is why I deleted the IP. --Kalas Silvern 05:59, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

They changed a lot - a lot to analyze. I like it thus far, but It will take a while for me to take it all in. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 13:52, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
6x Death Nova necros with Shadow Form, 2x Arcane Echo Unyielding Aura resers. With four skills you can farm any area!
Or, if that's not your cup of tea, just pick up Troll Unguent and Flashing Blades and solo-farm the Underworld.

Interesting though. It'll take a while for the game to go back to normal. I disagree with Visions of Regret being AoE by the way. Have people started whining about it yet? --Kalas Silvern 23:59, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
Visions of regret is fine, but we need soe monk buffs (Stat) to cope with the power creep. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 09:06, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
I'd rather they fix the power creep than buff monks...;) Also I posted information on my program on my talk page, some moar input from you would be nice. ;) DarkNecrid 16:25, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Rant

The change to smiter's boon is idotic. Only an idiot balances this way. This was the most infuckingcreadibly incompetent update I've ever seen. Fuck this shit, it blows. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 07:49, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

It wasn't meant as a balance, it was meant to remove the skill from PvP. The balance will come in a few weeks. 145.94.74.23 09:34, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Because it takes a few weeks to correct an unexisting issue that any idiot can fix in 15 minutes, yeah, shit sucks. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 11:57, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
nuke for once (ONCE and dont you dare making this public) i'm with izzy i mean its not his fault hes to dumb to come up with decent balances. So why not remove the skill if youre this dumb anyway ? Lilondra 16:27, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
'Because it takes a few weeks to correct an unexisting issue that any idiot can fix in 15 minutes, yeah, shit sucks. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 16:32, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
If youre saying smiters boon was not an issue then you havent done any gvg lately (ironic how i'm saying that to you isnt it :p ?) Lilondra 17:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
It was minor. In a sense, it was similar to Shockwave spike. Yes, it was broken, but the problem is not Shockwave. It's shadow steps. Yes, smitegay was broken, but smiter's boon was not broken, healing + smiting is broken. Smiting needs to reworked, and Smiter's Boon should be flagship. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 17:14, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Ok it is a gay fix i wont hind that but running 4 smiter heroway WAS op the Ta meta was both gay and +- OP.Ofcourse smiting needs a rework but as far as i know smiting sucked at anything besides few gimmick builds from day 1 (and i dont even play from day one ) Lilondra 17:33, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Gimmick builds or not, I full heartedly agree with Nuclear. NOT IZZY. This was moronic. Balancers should never intend to "remove a skill from play." That's one reason assassins are so screwed up right now, and now non-abusive smiters get to join them. Removing skills from play is completely idiotic, no matter the skill. --Kalas Silvern 06:32, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
It is not the right solution i agree but it IS better then a broken skill if i have to chose between fking up a line (wich we are already used to) or fking up both gvg and TA ? Lilondra 07:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
But they didn't even TRY to balance it. They just said F*** it, kill the skill so we can be lazy. I don't disagree with nerfing broken crap (see escape scythe, it STILL needs to die), but I wholehearted disagree with intentionally killing the skill instead of trying to balance it. --Kalas Silvern 00:45, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Did you miss the part where they aren't interested in balancing it? They dislike the entire concept. They weren't even going to try to balance it, because it would be nearly impossible. Sure, you could increase the recharge, but that would mean you have a broken skill that's a little less maintainable. Sure, you could up the energy a little bit, but that would mean you have to take glyph lesser and then you'd have a broken skill again. See the problem? They don't like the concept entirely, so they plan to re-work it. In the meantime, they don't want it seeing play. -Auron 07:47, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
But goddamn it Auron, this shouldn't work this way. When a balancer nerfs and buffs "because he doesn't like it", I QQ and go farm FoW with mah strong and brave warrior. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 07:50, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Anet killed Smiter's Boon because it caused too much pressure. Don't you guys know everytime you gain life in GW someone on the other team gets ouchies?
Someone at anet has no fucking clue. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 07:10, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
They killed smiter's boon like they killed divine boon. Both were bad for the game. I'm interested to see the design changes they have in mind for it, but I'm not expecting it to be released anytime soon. -Auron 07:32, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, we all know smiters were bad for the game.
But now we have proof that Izzy is just plain lazy. Besides, if he can be so quick and bold in nerfing broken shit, why has he let Sway live for, I dunno... about a year or so now? (hyperbole, but you get the idea) -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 07:46, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Why don't you ask him? I wouldn't have called smiter's boon particularly broken. It made for boring play, but so does pretty much everything else in the game atm. There are much bigger problems, like wounding strike, the entire shitway build, and AoE fire spells that are all greatly imbalanced, yet they don't see nerfs. I'm not sure why he focused on that one so quickly, but at least they explained themselves on it. -Auron 08:02, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Exactly. There are much bigger problems, but he just hits this piece of shit.
I wonder, when will they implement these new changes? Chances are, never.
Izzy needs to stop balancing based on "what he likes" and "what he desn't like". It simply doesn't work that way. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 08:08, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Because 4 of them were quite imba imo. With heroes it wasnt worth bringing conditions or hexes cuz they were often smited off from the beginning. However yes WS etc are much more imba but i dont think were better off with a crap skill then with a omfgwtfbbq imba skill Ok nm what I said.Lilondra 08:57, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Completely agree with the original poster. 25/90 is just a stupid lame idea. That's not balancing, it's like banning a skill because he wouldn't spend 15 minutes figuring out how to balance it. The problem is that Izzy just nerfs OP builds into the trash bin mindlessly and forgets about them forever. I estimate that in 2 years we will have no more viable skills.

GWWT

Hi, it seems you tried to install GWWT but unfortunately you choosed the wrong file ;) The .css is just for formatting and such stuff ie. for changing the look of the Wiki and so on. You had a disagreement? Tell me. Don't insinuate, write profanities, these actions are not the way to go for expressing ideas that you want others to agree with, those ways will never help you. It is rude and gives bad impression, just thought you know NuklearVII.

When writing conflicting ideas you write them in a way that tries to convince not only others but also your opponent. Invite them to see your way. Pushing another person against wall won't make him/her believe in world peace or shouting obscenities neither.

Posting it here. Just saying "Hey Wealedout, you are cool and all but I don't agree with you and I'm sorry" could have been enough.----Wealedout 19:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
