Preface

Out of pure boredom from constantly playing a curse Necromancer, I decided to go ahead and try something else. While death magic with Toxic Chill can be deadly as a ranged damage dealer, I went into blood magic and tried to work out a bar that would be half-decent. This was made long time ago, aka not in regards on the current Blood magic mega-buff. It is quite a pleasant build to play as you have high survivability as well as solid support damage and the deadly shame-ish Mark of Subversion.

Variants

In all honesty I have not played any variant of this skill bar so I'd rather not randomly try to write variants to look like I'm a master of all my builds. The only think I can think about atm is Barbed Signet and Masochism instead of Conviction and Armor of Sanctity for more degen spamming although the build would probably require a source of weakness such as Blood of the Aggressor or the overpowered Oppressive Gaze instead of Mark of Subversion for survivability.

Equipment

• Full Tormentor Insignia or the +10 while in a stance though I don't recommend it
• 40/40 Blood set
• Heavy Spear of Defense and Shield of Fortitude (+10 vs popular damage or camp fire/lightning set as melee won't do shit against you)
• Another def set with a spear of Fortitude (High health set)

Usage

• Life Transfer and Life Siphon (don't spam this) to spread degen and gain health regeneration
• Dark Pact is your main source of damage, fake it if needed since a rupt on it will greatly shut you down
• Strip any attunements used by eles or important enchantments (Crit D, Lyssa's Aura, blabla)
• Spam Mark of Subversion (try to time it like you time a shame)
• Keep Conviction up 24/7
• Use Armor of Sanctity to weaken physical damage dealers, don't be lazy and walk to weaken foes attacking your allies
• Use Armor of Sanctity to trigger the bonus armor from Conviction when Eles are on you (I said don't be lazy walk up to the melee before you use it)
• Use Armor of Sanctity on your shield set and laugh as you have 60+10+24+10(popular damage type)= 104 armor + 15 damage reduction against the most popular damage type (or 94 +15 damage reduction) as a caster.

Note: AoS's damage reduction also affect spells as long as the caster suffers from a condition (ANY condition).
