MB Distortion E/Me's...[edit]

moved from User talk:Isaiah Cartwright

...are OP'd and ruin PvP. The reason for this is because 75% block 60-80% of the time while 1-2-3-4ing everything in sight is just too good. My niece can mash my buttons for me while I go to the restroom, take a nap, go to the store, etc, etc... Also, any words on the next skill update and the changes that're being routed up the food chain? Have ya'll considered inducing another meta shift by changing some more skill functionalities so that there's no stagnation for PvPers (especially those that go way back to the release date of GW1)?

If You do decide to bless your PvP Community with programmed goodness, I have here some suggestions that might help out some (for PvP only). Hope they can be of some use prior to the next patch.

  • Soldier's Stance - Move to Strength attribute, release requirements for attack speed and apply them to a +1 Strength clause instead. This would basically be Frenzy with no double-damage clause, making warriors more durable in exchange for losing some spike power.
  • Blessed Light - Reduce energy cost to 5. This spell would be a viable source of hex/condition relieve, compressing the skill bar for monks quite a bit. Only catch is that it wouldn't be as potent in healing than other competitors like WoH.
  • Signet of Devotion - Reduce Cast time to 1 second, increase recharge to 8 seconds and leave healing as is. This change makes it an inferior version of Sig-o-Rejuv. and can be used on Prot/Smite Bars.
  • Withdraw hexes - Reduce energy cost to 10, reduce cast time to (1/4-3/4), remove disable skill clause, change AoE to "nearby or area" and keep hexes removed capped to a maximum of 1 per ally. Move to unlinked attributes.
  • Power Flux - Add 0...40 damage (taking wild stab at damage part tbh) per spell casted by foe if hexed with mesmer hex. Wastrels would be the ideal hex that forces spells to be casted, creating slightly more pressure on casters and contributing to damage. Code this hex so that it's incapable of stacking with VoR to avoid making this buff OP'd. Description: "No [damage] effect if hexed with Visions of Regret."
  • Psychic Instability - Increase recharge to 12 seconds and add 0...70 damage that is viable but not OP'd. It'd be like an elite version of Cry in essence.
  • Shatterstorm - Reduce energy cost to 5, reduce disable cost to +3 per enchantment removed. It'd become one of the more viable enchant removals with no negative effect or damage.
  • Shadow Prison - Reduce energy cost to 5 and recharge to 20. Yes, we all know that you absolutely LOATHE assassins, but now that double dual-attacking and all formidable IAS's have been reduced to dust, it's pretty safe to say that this suggestion would be about equal to Wastrel's Collapse, except for that it'd be able to fuel Black Mantis Thrust and/or Black Spider Strike, making something other than the palm strike build more viable. It'd also be most gracious if you could reprogram elite shadow steps to be freed from aftercast delays since they have elite status (disables all non-assassin skills to prevent secondary abusages).

More to come... If anyone posting on here has any more ideas (please make them be as balanced and as possibly able), please post here so that Izzy can get empowered by some of our good ideas. --Ulterion 03:18, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Suggestions I don't believe can be taken yet; I don't think the liscensing issues have been worked out yet. --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 04:01, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
On a related subject, Izzy doesn't bother reading this page, or any of the wiki. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Jette (talk).
And Blessed Light at 5e is retardedly OP. Karate Jesus 19:01, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I'd say your suggestions are worse then mine.Lilondra User Lilondra Sig.jpg*poke* 19:06, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Blessed Light can have a clause similar to that of WoH's concept applied to balance Blessed Light to bring balance. The point I'm mf'ing making is for the developers to spice up the game a bit with new buffs/functionality changes to rekindle things some. So, if you ain't got nothin' nice to say, stfu & gtfo pl0x karate jeebus, k? thnxbai. --Ulterion 04:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Lol, the attitude "fuck anyone that has anything negative to say" is pretty bad and unrealistic. It makes you look stupid. Dark Morphon 10:18, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
