Mission progression templates

Hi. Please do not copy the mission progression templates from GuildWiki. Some of the users who contributed to those templates haven't released their work under the GFDL license. It would need to be a lot different in this case really, as otherwise it looks like a GWiki copy. I am working on a new and non-copy looking version, so if your patient enough to wait for a couple of days, I'll be posting it for use here. -- (gem / talk) 07:53, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

User pages

Why are you adding userpages for users who doesn't even exist? I'm talking about User:Knight of bloodshed, accourding to Special:Listusers there is no user with that name. - anja (contribs) 19:31, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Maybe he chose another name? Because really, I can't find the name in the user list :/ Check that page I linked and search for knight. No user named Knight of bloodshed exists according to that list. Yes the page exists, you can create a page with any username, but that doesn't guarantee that it is a registered user. User:Blablahblahblah, red link, I can create that page. But there's still no user registered with that name, as you can see in Special:Listusers. If you are 100% sure he registered with that exact name, write about it over at Report a wiki bug, that the user list doesn't update as it should. - anja (contribs) 19:49, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Don't confuse a userpage with a user, Vega. A userpage is just an article in the User: namespace. A user is a registered account on the wiki. Special:Listusers still doesn't show anyone registered with the username Knight of bloodshed. Users aren't created by just starting a page, they need to register via Special:Userlogin. --Dirigible 20:58, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, he told me that he registerd here and i asked him to go to his userpage by clicking on his name at the top of the page and he gave me this url after that, he never registerd on wiki before (this one nor the otherone) so he wouldnt really know that much about it. after he clicked on his name he got that message that there wassnt an article named knight of bloodshed yet and if he would like to create one, first thing i told him to do was put User Eu userbox in it so that i could find his page through search. If he doesnt exist in the "userlist" then i have no idea how that happend. anyway i'll tell him to go to the Special:Userlogin. Vega Underdark (talk) 03:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

A good way to see if a user page is the page of a real user is to look at the toolbox on the left side. If you can see a 'User contributions' link there, that user page is a page of a user. Otherwise it's just a user page created for a user name that doesn't exist. -- (gem / talk) 05:59, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

I believe this "Knight of bloodshed" isn't the only non-existent user page you've created Vega. Use Special:Listusers to check for actual registered users. If you think "Knight" in the text box at the stop and click Go, you'll see several users with "Knight" in their user name. But none of them are "Knight of bloodshed". Which means your friend most likely did not complete the registration process. One of the "Knight"-prefixed user names might be your friend's user name. My userpage

Well, I thought about copying it from Guildwiki, but I tried that once and found out it was far too much work. Aside from having to reupload all my images(and possibly violating the GWWUser image policy), there's tons of broken links, and many of the non-broken links go to stub pages with hardly any info on them(as opposed to GWiki which has complete info), honestly just easier to link to my Gwiki page. BTW, how'd you even come across my user page here to begin with, didn't think I'd posted enough here for anyone to actually look at my user page, heh. DKS01 03:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Hehe well i think the question is how did you come across my userpage, i've looked at your user page but other then that i didnt use anything from it, i did look at the treasure thing but i made my own which is easier to navigate through (including the date's when i opened it with who). anyway if you want to copy anything from my page feel free to do so as long as you dont forget the credits part =þ.
