Nerfing Dervish character class[edit]

moved from Help:Ask a game question

I was very happy with the way my dervish worked and the fact that now none of my builds work i have to ask why did i ever choose a dervish if i wanted to use adrenalin i would have choosen a warrior character also decreasing the damage done is rediculous if we have to be limited to being basically a warrior shouldn't we have 80 armor the same as warriors and paragons have since we have to fight in the front the same as they do but now we have less damage and still have lower armor of 70 ! when dervish first came out we were unbeatable you changed skills to balence the gameplay we worked around it now you have changed it again and basically made the class unplayable --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.234.184.127 (talk).

It's a different profession. (Only the name, armor, and dance are the same; everything else needs to be thought of as an eleventh class.) If you want some assistance on making good use of the new prof, see the developer notes ...or ask for some more specific questions about cool things to do with dervishes.
Why not give Dervish2 a chance? Everyone I know (including those against the changes on the day of the update) now prefer the new version; they can't even remember what it was like before.
If you want to ask ANet to change it back, your best bet is writing them via email, postal mail, or as Briar suggested, via Feedback (requires registration, though).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:53, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
