ur pleak is not bold. fix. --Readem 23:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

It's fallen out of use, and the buff to pspike makes more people take it instead. -Auron 15:03, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
A mesmer without pleak is a very sad mesmer indeed. pspike is coolz, but not really that useful. leak on the other hand, rapes a monk using aegis. Not a single top 100 guild would ever drop it, except maybe sineptitude (which is for fags). --Readem 05:08, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
Pity nobody can fit a dom mesmer into their party anymore thanks to partygons.
And don't forget what the purpose of this list is for; a guide to help new players unlock good skills before bad skills. Pleak is used in top 100, but it'll be months before any new player gets top 100. They'll have time to work through pretty much all the unlockfirst lists by then, including the non-italicized ones. In the meantime, they'll be doing small-time PvP: RA/TA/AB (where no monks bring Aegis) and possibly HA (where aegis on monks is rare and PD is the standard for mesmers anyway). -Auron 11:20, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
lol, top 100 is not very good anymore since ladder reset. Even SoG is r56 or some shit. But yeah, in that case, you are probably right. --Readem 03:23, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Missed Skills?[edit]

I think that you should put Empathy and Backfire anto the domination line as using them both on 1 player will shut him/her down.--Sum Mesmer GuyMesmer 17:50, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

25 energy to shutdown a player. A stupid player will kill himself, a smart player will not use any skills. Both skills can be dropped for diversion for practically the same effect on smart players. If the player is stupid, you've probably won already anyways. --24.74.254.215 21:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Diversion doesn't do damage, and empathy doesn't need skills 2 activate damage.--Sum Mesmer GuyUser sum mesmer guy signiture.png 09:04, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Those are both bad skills. Backfire is decent only if you devote more skills to its recharge (mor, glyph renewal) and lots to energy. Empathy is just bad. If you want to stop melee, use a bsurge. If you want to stop casters, use interrupts, not backfire. -Auron 08:58, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Aggreed with Auron, Empathy sucks. Dark Morphon(contribs) 09:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you keep these pages still up to date as I randomly stumbled across this but how about shame? Yeah, the current rage may be signet smiters right now but I still think shame should at least get a mention. PlacidBlueAlien 06:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't think Echo is terribly useful. --Lemming 17:34, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Water[edit]

do bold, tis kinda meta. Napalm Flame 10:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I only bolded the sin stuff on rit because rits are in pretty much every build with that bar. Mesmers still have plenty of options outside of water magic, i.e., every mesmer you see isn't running water. -User Auron csig.png Auron 10:46, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
True, but dual mes is SO common in GvG right now, it's meta. Teams are even running mes snarers over pblocks as singles. Napalm Flame 10:50, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
