Trashed: 600smite, 600smite/famine, perma shadow form, dungeon runs and stupid end bosses. Boro 10px‎ 16:11, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

VoR and Weaken Knees are way too weak for an elite. Lingering Curse and Suffering are still stupid skills that can still be abused because they are AoE. Wastrel's Worry is just as random fire and forget as it is now. Nerfing PnH is pretty stupid since it's the only thing holding LC and Suffering and the like back. Yes, you nerfed some of these hexes but there are dozens of them able to fill the void. Parasitic Bond for example will just be replaced by Defile Defenses. Your PvE changes are equal to unnecessarily killing skills. It's just really really biased because besides Shadow Form and 600/smite, there are tons of other builds that can accomplish the exact same thing, perhaps a bit slower. After this update you can still play 55/SS and Trappers, for example. Whether these are fun, skill-ful and other stuff is really subjective so imo you should either remove nothing or remove all. So, for both PvP and PvE, if you want to kill some kind of tactic, kill it entirely rather than killing some skills you do not like. Also, don't remove my post or face eternal trolling. I want you to face the consequences an update has and the ammount of unbiasedness you need to seriously be able to balance this game. Dark Morphon 12:30, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

You claim that you remove unintelligent comments. This one is not. So do not remove a comment just because it proves that you're wrong. That's just being pure fail. And you said you were going to stop failing :>Oni User talk:Oni 12:45, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Let me explain the update: PnH gave us build wars, which made the nerf necessary. However, in order not to prevent hexways to dominate PvP, I increased either the recharge or the casting time of the most common cover and AoE hexes. The reason VoR and WW were changed is that mesmers aren't supposerd to deal damage, instead of shutdown. Weaken Knees now rewards skill. In Pve: Trappers and 55/ss cannot clear UW in 30 minutes, there is no Universal 2 man build for every dungeon. If I missed some, then please list them. Boro 10px‎ 16:17, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I prefer Build Wars over overpowered hexway with no counters whatsoever, though both are pretty bad.
I see you added Defile Defenses to your list now. That's good, good.
Nerfing Lingering Curse and Suffering is never a bad idea, but to really fix and balance them you just have to give them a different functionality. AoE hexes tend to become overwhelming really quickly.
Making sure VoR and WW don't deal damage is good and all, but the functionality you are giving them now are just really meh. I think there are better things to think off, especially since these take no skill whatsoever either.
So Weaken Knees is a conditional Enfeeble which also inflicts -5 degeneration? That's a really odd functionality. It works in some way (punishes moving attackers), but why would you use this over Enfeeble? I think you should aim for a different functionality.
Concerning PvE, I think you sorta need an 8-man team to do that. 55/SS and Trappers is usually a team of two, aiming at getting ectos rather than clearing the entire Underworld. Now, I'm not an expert on this area but I don't think an SF/SS team can kill Smites, unless they run some modified build. And tbh, those builds aren't very hard to play either and were abused just as hard in ye olde days. Dark Morphon 15:25, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
