User talk:Chaiyo Kaldor/Archive 1
Hello, Chauyo Kaldor, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing!--§ Eloc § 03:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've actually been on for a a couple of months now, though I haven't been very active. Thanks for the warm welcome, though, it's much appreciated.Chaiyo Kaldor 18:46, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
gah
Thanks for putting up the move tag. I thought it already linked to the userpage, but apparently I fail at linking >.<. thank you :) -- Wandering Traveler 21:39, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. Just thought it would be the best way to point it out. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 21:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Just a note...
GWW:1RR applies to deletion tags as well, even if you're in the right - please don't keep tagging something if the tag is being continually removed, even if you're fully within policy to tag it - get the sysops to deal with whomever is removing the tag if necessary, but don't engage in revert wars. Thanks. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 07:54, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know. It came to me a little too late after the second revert that a revert summary is not a good place to insert a warning, and I could have done said warning a bit more tactfully had I not used said summary. But, yes, I will keep to 1rr in the future, no matter the temptation. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 21:50, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

- Well, friend, I'm glad you asked. Chaiyo just sounds good when pronounced hebraically (Think "ach!" for the ch), though I'm not sure if it means anything, and I really hope it doesn't. Kaldor is just what I name a few of my characters in game, and so I thought it would be a good idea to take here, so that I would at least have some connection between the game and this esteeeeeeemed community. I'm curious, though, where did you get that backwards R? Copy paste? Also, Earth Shaker forever. Hm... but, I think I could run an Internetian to English translation program, for the clinically capped! That'd be a good userbox, not to mention the FIND OF THE CENTURY! Decade, if you're pessimistic towards my awesome works. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 21:03, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- The backwards Я is a Russian letter incase you didn't know. Nice origin for your name by the way. — ク Eloc 貢 15:28, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- I was pretty sure of the letter's Russian origin, I was just unsure if it could be simply typed into the text. Wait, this changes everything! Or, at least, some things. I could get around to using the letters I have always envisioned my gaming handle to be in, the
languagepronunciation, at least, of its origin. I mean, that's worth my time, right? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:57, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Admins
I think they all went to the club together or something lol --Shadowphoenix 00:39, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think they realized how much me, DE, Gummy Joe, Belar, and Tharkun are/were enjoying this. In cse you haven't noticed, we've been using 300 and Monty Python quotes in the edit summaries. So they simply chose to ignore it and let us tire the guy out. Calor 00:40, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I sure hope it's not the latter. Just for two reverts, I got the warning you can still see on my talk page. Just because you guys are totally awesome, that doesn't mean you get special 1rr privileges. Maybe others. Okay, definitely others. Ah, there we go, Gordon's got it. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 00:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Vandal
Wonder who the vandal's gonna hit next? :) Nbajammer 00:45, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, since he/she's as predictable as a vandal usually is, the next person to revert him/her. It's not rocket science, you know, just complex social mathematics at which common sense yells "Well duh." No really, though, this is better than most movies. When (if) this one gets blocked, we should try to get a whole page of recent changes clear of vandalism, just for the inverse of giggles from vandalism. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 00:49, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Definitely some form of proxy going on there. Nbajammer 00:56, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Too quick for a dynamic IP. If he comes back, I have money on him hitting my page some time. Calor 00:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- What I'm really excited about is that it looks like my page is getting long enough to archive sometime this month. I mean, tracking down vandals to expose them to the kind of maritime laws they had in the 1800s. Yeah, certainly not self-interested, small-minding irrelevance, I'm so useless. Ahem. So, let's get on that "wiping vandals from our memory" bit that we do when they don't take the time to actually make an account, or, *reviews Raptors's contribs* make less than 100 actual mainspace edits, or try to make it fun for the rest of us. Wouldn't it be great if vandals could have a bit of consideration on the side? By the way, if I were made vandal reviewer, I would give this guy (girl) 2.8 of 10 Raptors, because rewarding vandals is stupid. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 01:12, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

"Non generic icon"
Please note that we use the {{monster skill icon}} for all monster skills to show the monster skill link after the name. The template was broken so that the image was not displayed correctly. Please do not change the monster skill icon template to the normal one. Thanks! poke | talk 17:09, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- OK. I was just going by what was written in GWW:NPC#Skills, as well as finding that the broken change made everything a generic icon, but if that's the case, I'm sorry to have been a bother. However, if the monster skill icon template is used for every monster skill, maybe that should be changed in the formatting? --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:13, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm. I brought that up at Guild Wars Wiki talk:Formatting/NPCs#Monster skill icons.. poke | talk 17:17, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I'm glad I brought about this nuance of proposed change, and I'm also glad for however you botted away all those edits. That was fast. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:20, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
- After reading that sentence in the formatting guide, your edits made quite a lot sense. But it doesn't make sense when looking at what the monster skill icon template should do.. So it's good that this issue came up :) Btw. that was the rollback feature, sysops have ;) poke | talk 17:23, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
