I Need Help On How To Get A Signature Picture

How do i get that cool signature next to my name when i leave signatures? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Daltons Guild Wars Wiki (talk).

To sign using the generic signature, type ~~~~ after your posts.
To customize your signature, go to your preferences. In that menu, there's a box for making and customizing your signature. Most HTML code is supported (I think). For instance, my signature's code is: Thrain<small>contribs </small> If you do customize it, make sure to un-check that "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" box.
I hope that was helpful. If not, I'll be glad to clarify in anyway I can. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 04:00, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
You have to have an image first uploaded at (for example) User Balistic Pve B d-dark.jpgalistic 04:17, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

then what? --Dalton 09:13, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

I Need Help On Adding Friends (If I Can)

Can people add friends on guild wars wiki? and if so how do i add them?? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Daltons Guild Wars Wiki (talk).

You cannot "add" friends on Guild Wars Wiki as you would do for social networking/forum sites. What some people do is have a list of their friends on their user page, with a link to their friend's user page. ~Celestia 08:11, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

i figured that out a lil big ago but thanks very much ^^ Dalton 09:04, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

I Need Help Learning To "Quote"

How do i quote something someone said or make a cool box around things? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Daltons Guild Wars Wiki (talk).

To italicize things, put two single apostrophes before and after the text. To embolden text, put three apostrophes before and after the text.
To put the text into a box like this, put a space at the beginiing of the line.
I hope that helped. ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 04:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Also, you can use quotation or quote depending on your needs.--Fighterdoken 04:07, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict x2) To quote something you can use the syntax Source For example,

Comes out as:

I Need Help Setting Up My User Page

I need help setting up a organized cool looking user page. How do i do it? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Daltons Guild Wars Wiki (talk).

We have a helpers program here, there are a number of users that can assist you with making a user page. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 18:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
A lot of times, new users find something they like on another person's page, and copy the format, but change the info to reflect their own tastes, or change the colors etc. That's how I started out, my userpage is still a variant of someone else's. -- Tha Reckoning File:User Tha Reckoning Sig2.jpg 18:49, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Signing and Talk Pages

Hi, just a few things:

 • Please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). This allows your comments to be indentified. For more information see GWW:SIGN.
 • You are not allowed to remove comments from talk pages unless you archive them or it is under special circumstances. I have restored the removed comments. Please have a read of GWW:TALK.

Happy editing. ~Celestia 08:11, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Show preview

Hi Daltons, did you know you can use the Show preview button to see your edits and then continue editing until you get the page looking just the way you wish? Only Save page when it is finished. Not only does this minimize the number of entries on the page history, but it also reduces the number of entries on the Recent changes log that many people monitor for vandalism and other activity. Once again, if you have questions, feel free to ask any helper, check out our Help center, or post a question on our Help:Ask a wiki question page. Thanks! -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 15:22, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

thank you, I've been trying to do that more often now. Dalton 19:15, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
