Rules of Engagement[edit]

  • Read the whole segment before you add to it.
  • Be honest.
  • Don't be a hypocrite.
  • Don't put words in people's fingertips.
  • If someone makes an error, inform them before you nerdraeg on them.
  • Don't argue unless you can support your claim with credible evidence.
  • Don't twist facts to suit your agenda.
  • Don't deny the truth just because you don't like it.
  • Don't make me have to continue to find ways to say the same things with different words just to get it through to you.

A little less ignorance, if you'd be so kind.[edit]

Again, I cannot stress enough the importance of presenting evidence to support your opinions. "Any good/smart player..." is not a valid argument because, chances are, you suck at something these presumably poor players are good at. Something like knowing how to play an Assassin or use an Assassin hero. If you don't know how to do it, that's one thing you suck at. Plain and simple. There are plenty of players who can use any hero pretty much any way they want to. Those are smart players. I personally cannot use Paragon heroes very well. For some reason, they're the one profession I just can't wrap around my noggin. I can understand Monks pretty well if I actually try, I just don't feel like it quite yet. That's why I never argue about them. I don't argue about things I don't know. However, I do discuss things I don't know. My contributions in those cases are usually in the form of questions, rather than simply providing an opinion without any evidence to support it. Feeling a sense of deja vu? Good, it means you may actually be paying attention. If you are, thank you.

As mentioned on another discussion page, there are professions I know well enough to discuss. Those professions include the Ranger, Ritualist, Assassin and Elementalist in the order with how familiar I am. I don't believe I know enough about Necromancers to argue a point, and I possess some bias concerning a certain element of their gameplay. I used to know Mesmers fairly well, until the primary attribute nerf. That action completely turned me off from that profession, entirely. Mesmers are great and all, don't get me wrong. Whenever I look at them, I simply feel disappointed. I mourn for the loss of that which once was. Anyway, moving on. There's a gray area in my understanding of the Dervish and I haven't yet finished experimenting with the Warrior, which I'm in the process of rectifying. After that, (well, after I mirror my PvE Elementalist after my PvP and delete the PvP) I will be diving more deeply into the Paragon.

If you'd like to discuss Rangers, Ritualists, Assassins or Elementalists, I'm all ears/eyes. If you'd like to discuss Warriors, Dervishes or Paragons, the same applies. Only, I'll be far more humble in my contributions. I find myself averse to the Necromancer, but I'm willing to take suggestions. I have almost no desire to discuss the Mesmer. If you really want to push it, though, go right ahead. I hope I haven't left anything out. Oh, wait, I have. One last thing. If you are incapable of offering anything to the discussion that possesses any merit and/or credibility, don't post here. I know I said I could take it, but it spams the devs' edit page when people get into troll wars. Don't do it. [/ginormous wall of text]

Lol who cares, anything works in PvE Morphy 12:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Ease down on the words, you type a little much to read! -Cursed Angel 熱 17:18, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
I try a little too hard to cover all the bases. ^_^; Teddy Dan, yo. 18:20, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
I broke it up into paragraphs, for your convenience. :D Teddy Dan, yo. 19:00, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
That's a plus! -Cursed Angel 熱 19:23, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Aww, no cookie? QQ Teddy Dan, yo. 19:25, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Not until you've finished your broccoli, boy! -Cursed Angel 熱 19:29, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
I happen to enjoy broccoli. Well, cooked broccoli with cheese. Teddy Dan, yo. 19:31, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, there's just so much you can do with it and it's so nutritious! -Cursed Angel 熱 19:41, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Fr srs, I listed Elementalists twice in the last paragraph. Fail. XD Teddy Dan, yo. 19:18, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Nonsense unrelated to that above[edit]

Post it here. :) Teddy Dan, yo. 16:43, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Yo dawg, I heard you like BHAs, so I put a BHA on your bar so you can like it while you like it. Morphy 18:00, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Yo dawg, I heard you like replies, so I replied to your reply so you can reply to my reply in your reply. (probably killed it XD) Teddy Dan, yo. 18:41, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Pretty good actually. Morphy 18:51, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Impressive. The page needs archiving after just 2ish days. If you are a troll, that's a pretty solid score. I guess it is what happens when you put so many bored people on one site.Morphy 20:51, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

I actually do want to archive it, so I can get back on track and discuss professions and skills in an informative/inquisitive manner, but I simply don't know how to archive just yet. My oldest character is almost 5 years old (I can provide screens if challenged, provided someone teaches me how to post them here), but I'm a complete newbie to GWW. Would you care to do the honor?

I know I can be quite abrasive in lengthy discussion, but I try my best to tone it down. I don't always succeed. QQ Teddy Dan, yo. 21:14, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

It's pretty messed up when I have to watch my own archive because some loser is incapable of controlling their urge to get their last baseless insult in, even when everyone knows they're wrong. It's archived for a reason. Lrn2self-control. Teddy Dan, yo. 14:30, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

"some loser"
That's just weak man, I expected better from a powerful troll like you. Morphy 19:15, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
You thought I was a troll? :/ Teddy Dan, yo. 20:14, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
FYI, reacting to a something on an archive is not vandalism. It is not a smart thing to do anyway because nobody reads archives unless they have a very good reason for it. Koda Kumi 21:12, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
A very good reason like me reading my own archive for reference. Like reminding myself about that slip-up with the bow attack interval and range, so that I don't make that mistake again the next time I form an opinion. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Vandal: 1. vandal One who willfully or maliciously defaces or destroys public or private property. If they edit an archive just to get the last irrelevant insult (or other offensive commentary) in, that's defacing. However, I really just wanted to scare the kid into not posting in an archive anymore. I simply did what I could. I'm more concerned about the ends than the means. If making empty threats maintains some semblance of peace, so be it. I'm not a sysop. All I can do is run to the end of my chain and bark. But, if that's all I can do, that's what I'll do until someone shows me a better way. Teddy Dan, yo. 22:48, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Ok[edit]

  • 1. Copy everything on your talk page.
  • 2. Remove it and save.
  • 3. Paste it on this page: User talk:Dan Dan Teddy Bearz/Archive 1 and save.
  • 4. Link the archive on your talkpage at the top somewhere.

And you're finished! -Cursed Angel 熱 21:38, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Sweet. Thanks. Did you create that archive page just now? If you did, how do I do that so that I don't have to keep bothering you with it? Teddy Dan, yo. 21:41, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Also, does it have to be the whole page or do I have the option to archive one specific section? Teddy Dan, yo. 21:44, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Nah, it's not created until you save on it, I just linked to a page that doesn't exist yet. And yes you can archive any section (as long as it isn't active!). -Cursed Angel 熱 21:53, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Can I render it inactive by archiving it? :D Teddy Dan, yo. 22:19, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Not normally how it is done, but from what I can see, that conversation was not related to the wiki itself. Also, I added an archive link to the top of your page, which is standard procedure. Wow, huge wiki lag = interesting edits by me. Sorry! G R E E N E R 22:34, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I see you took it back. Thanks, though. If there's anything wrong with mine, please let me know. (I honestly just wanted it archived so the nonsense would end without anyone getting banned. ^_^;) Teddy Dan, yo. 22:37, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Yep, only one small thing. You went and created two archive pages. I suggest putting {{delete|U1:User request|speedy}} on the page User talk:Dan Dan Teddy Bearz/Archive 1, which is the page that you are NOT linking to at the moment. G R E E N E R 22:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I was wondering about that. Teddy Dan, yo. 22:57, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Shannara?[edit]

You've read the Shannara series 8o? I thought I was the only one!--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 03:14, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

P.S. Whick books have you read????
Shoot. Let's see... First King, The Original Trilogy (Sword, Elfstones and Wishsong), 1/4 Heritage (Talismans, can't find Scions, Druid or Elf Queen) and 2/3 Voyage of the Jerle (Ilse Witch and Antrax, can't find Morgawr).
I've also restarted Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I never finished it and I forget most of it so I'm starting over from the beginning.
Probably some of the best books I've ever read! (IMO, Sword of Shannara is the best.)--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 03:23, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm loving his genesis of shannara series. Can't wait for more juicy druid lore in the next book. -Auron 10:50, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Havn't read Bearers of the Black Staff yet...--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 15:36, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
I hadn't heard of the genesis series. I'll have to do some research. Thanks for dropping a name, Auron. Teddy Dan 18:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Hint:Series starts with genesis of shannara!--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 23:52, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Local library doesn't have it, nor can they get it yet. I have to wait for it to get old enough or I'll have to buy it. Teddy Dan 00:05, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Worth waiting for!!!!--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 04:55, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

That's the plan. I don't buy books I haven't read, yet, nor do I intend on wasting half a day to read it in the store. I'll likely buy it, eventually, though. Teddy Dan 06:29, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Well, as I said, it's definatly worth reading (the whole series IMO)--User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 20:25, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Saw most of the next three series in the store, yesterday. I have a lot of reading to catch up on. Teddy Dan 05:53, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Sí. Very much so.--Allanon. User Necro Shea mo signature.jpg Necro Shea Mo 15:59, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
