Hello, GW-C, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing!

GuildWiki content[edit]

Please note that content cannot be copied from GuildWiki unless all contributors have released their contributions to GDFL. --Rainith 22:51, 28 March 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for your help. You stated your admin at Guildwiki and your doing the same here. Is this in some sence a merger between Guildwiki and Guild_Wars_Wiki?
Thanks,
GW-C
No problem, always glad to try to help people out.  :)
A couple of things:
First, you can go ahead and respond to any comments that are left on your talk page, on the talk page. It will keep the conversation together and easier to follow.
Second, you can sign your comments with ~~~~ or by clicking on the second button from the right above the edit box. The button with the squigly line.
Ok, now for your question on GuildWiki and this wiki, I think most of the stuff can be answered by checking the Guild Wars Wiki:FAQ. There is no merger, becuase GuildWiki uses a different license for its content than this wiki does. That is also why you cannot just copy the content from there to here wholesale. When ANet decided to start this wiki, they asked (publicly, no backroom stuff) the Administrators on GuildWiki if they wanted to assume the same responsibilities here. Some agreed to do that, some did not. I hope that answered your questions, if not, let me know. --Rainith 01:06, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

Hi thanks for your response.

Well you seem nice enough and thats really cool that you decided to help out. I hope ever thing works out and I can tell you we the users will really appreciate any information and wiki support you invest.
I personally can say my experiences with the GuildWikki information was delightful and informative. My experience with posting builds was less then satisfactory as the Admin people never tested the build they simply shut it down. We posted information and images GuildWiki and learned from it.
We plan on giving accurate information in hopes to be apart of the structure.
The only information we copied over was our information that we posted on the Guildwiki site. The information was posted and created by us. If we copied any information that was not created by us please let us know so that we can edit the information and never do it again.

Thanks again for your assistance we are certain you will be much to busy to answer questions later so we are pleased to have communicated with you now as you have the time.
