Image name[edit]

Glad to see you're starting in Prophecies, but in the future you need to upload your images in accordance with our image policy. I've gone ahead and moved your image to File:User GamerBearded Level-1.jpg as well as updated the link on your userpage. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about the Wiki. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 23:59, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

So you just moved my image? I'm sort of new to uploading a picture... can you teach me step by step on how to get a picture on the website then to a post? GamerBearded 02:44, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Instead of sectioning off comments, just mark yours as a reply by indenting it one further than the previous post (using one more colon than the previous post, as I've done), that way it's almost like a forum. Also, keep your signature to one line, there's no need for line-breaks or new sections in between every comment, that clutters up a page. As for moving pages, anyone can do it to any page (but be careful), just hover over the little "down arrow" next to View history, click Move, and then punch in what you're changing it to and why.
As for uploading images, the easiest way I've found is to create the link you're going to use before hand. For example, you could type out File:User GamerBearded Example Image.jpg (click Edit to see the syntax I used), which then creates a clickable link that leads to an upload page. It's a lot easier to do it this way instead of uploading the image first since it let's you figure out the name and fit it into your post before you upload it.
If you're interested in learning the code, the best way is to look at what others have done. Go to any page you're interested in and click Edit, that will show you the syntax used to create the layout and design of the page. Also, it might be worthwhile check out Help:Editing and some of the links to Wikipedia at the bottom of that page, those should give you plenty of info for any "normal" formatting, and of course you can always ask me or anyone else on the GWW:HELPERS page. If this is your first time using a Wiki, it might also be helpful to check out the Welcome to the wiki and Help Center pages, there's a ton of helpful info there. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 03:13, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
AHHH, i'm a quick learner... :D You are a really helpful! so lets see if I get this right... User GamerBearded Monk Dude.jpg GamerBearded
If you don't want to have the actual image on the page and just a link, place a colon before the filename, so you'd instead write [[:File:User GamerBearded Monk Dude.jpg]], which produces File:User GamerBearded Monk Dude.jpg. Also, in case you haven't browsed through there yet, you can edit your signature in My Preferences using wiki-code and then just stick four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post and it will insert your signature and a timestamp for you. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 04:35, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
I already been there :D I usually do 3 though for the sake of time stamp annoys me... but for you... GamerBearded 04:39, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
