I've been playing Guild Wars since a week after release and have completed everything in PvE, 99% of which was with H+H at some point, because of this I've learnt the hard way how to do things in game and I am willing to share any info that i may have aqquired. If anyone wants to know how i do things or would like me to show them anything in game either PM me while im online or leave me a message here. As I have done everything PvE and dont PvP that much all i do is farm and help others, I look forward to hearing from people in game.Spark-TBa 10:25, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Wrong? No.[edit]

"i never said his point had to do with area types, i was just politely pointing out an error in an earlier post,if im wrong in doing so then i appologise"

There's nothing wrong with pointing out an error or helping someone to increase their understanding. However, it's a digression from the topic at hand.

It would be like my pointing out that you said "there two dif things" when you probably meant, "they're two diff things" — that distracts the conversation from the point you are trying to raise which is that GW isn't massively multiplayer in any meaningful sense of the term. Your meaning was clear, even though the grammar might have been in error; there's no need for anyone to point it out to you in the context of the original discussion.

The OP posted because they were upset about something they considered important; we can disagree, we can sympathize (or not), but it isn't worth focusing on the issues raised than whether the poster nailed down their grammar, jargon, or phrasing perfectly?

I understand what your saying, but it must just be the way i am, all the people i play with are used to me pointing out mistakes in what they say regarding things in gw and maybe i shouldn't expect people to acknowledge errors if they are slightly wrong, although isnt it the same as someone saying tomb instead of tome, when both are used in game but in no language ive seen so far is there any translation from one to the other, am i not alowed to put them right?.Spark-TBa 19:26, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Honestly, at the start of the game i thought a warrior tome (or tomb, as i thought back then) was a place you can go to, Four years on, i rigorously whisp. everyone who gets it wrong, correcting them.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 19:33, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
without pointing out mistakes we can never learn  :) i hope any i make are flagged asap so i can learn from them, i think it makes me a better person/player in long run. :)Spark-TBa 19:36, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
People writing the message below sometimes pick up on it and correct it, well, they did to me, but now i have google chrome installed, the only spelling mistake i can make is conversation, it sometimes corrects it as convocation- it can get very awkward at times.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 19:39, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
LoL, Neil. I hope none of your conversations suffer because of it.
@Illumine: I don't mean to discourage you from helping people (as you say, we learn sometimes, if someone else takes the time to point out an error). I do mean to suggest that it's not always suitable to do so in the middle of a written conversation. (e.g. I moved this thread in the conversation here, so as not to further distract from the original discussion.) Also, as Neil says, people pick up comments in the middle of the discussion and get distracted...until often the original point is lost and people are too tired to pick it up again.
Or, more simply, some comments are best delivered in a new thread (e.g. on the user's talk) or via email.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:48, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
oh i get what you mean now, although my point was correct i prob shouldnt have done it while you were discussing the update in question, a bit like walking in on a meeting for example  :)Spark-TBa 19:59, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. :-)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:32, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

You have mail[edit]

Nothing urgent (and I don't expect a reply — I do want to make sure you get a chance to read it, though). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:34, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

read what  :) Spark-TBa 20:51, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
oh that  :) i didnt buy or sell anything using argossoft, i only used it to prove a point, i have never made a profit doing such and if someone had pm'd one of my accounts/guild members at the time and said they had the item i would have payed for it for that price, so imo i have not done any kind of scam. as tehy say, my record is immaculate.Spark-TBa 21:00, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
ty for showing your concerns though, much appreciated. Spark-TBa 21:01, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
my wording may have been wrong on the orriginal post in question, when i gave the person their gold i got my mini back, and i told them exactly what i had done, there was no bad feelings.Spark-TBa 21:08, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
Ah, good to know. I probably misunderstood your original post; thanks for clarifying. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:28, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Image sizes[edit]

Hello:

Resizing is very easy:

Displaying an image in its original size means to type:

[[File:The_boss_henchmen.jpg]]

To resize such file you just need to add: "|123px" any number + px, like this:

[[File:The_boss_henchmen.jpg|300px]]
