On an entirely unrelated subject, my sin just chalked up another 25 in RA. I was running Shadow Prison, and I think I used Shadow Prison maybe a dozen times total. See, I meant to change my build, but I forgot to, so I had the wrong gear. Normally, it wouldn't be a huge deal, but I was short 5 energy to get my chain off, which is bad for sins. Fortunately, I got paired with a mesmer with Sig of Illusions, Backfire, Conjure Nightmare, Insidious, and Parasitic Bond, so everything had hexes on it and I could use Black Mantis for cripple more than once every 25 seconds. The guy I was f***ing before I met Adrin was a stoner, and we used to get drunk and watch Spongebob and "Full Metal Jacket"...stuff like that. I thought Spongebob was cute for a while, but it wasn't as edgy as R&S and it got boring rather fast. I don't suggest it. I mean, I'm glad I did it for the novelty, but god it was awful clicking all the time. Even when doing stuff in game to make it less tedious the clicking was no less annoying. She spelled it out pretty clearly "use a macro on drunkard, we will catch and ban you" so I left that avenue alone. Aside from the fact that I'm like the only person who actually likes Rurik, I got yet another one just today which I wouldn't need to be convinced to part with. I also have another Squishy, several Mursaat, a Nian, a Raptor, and a bunch of others which I don't remember offhand. (I have one whole alt whose inventory is full of minis.) I don't know what you want though...probably something actually rare like an unded Shiro or whatever.

The Adventures of Ryuu Nito Neko Mode- Part I, Betrayal

As I continued to generate excuses and produce my rant regarding why I didn't want to paragon or flag, and why I really wanted to infuse despite my poor self confidence, my thought process was interrupted by a loading screen. My initial reaction was confusion, I wasn't entirely sure why I had began to zone with absolutely no interaction in doing so upon my part. Then, as I pressed "G" to look at my empty guild window, and my guest pane, I realized that my guest invite to "Cut A Hole In A [Box]" had vanished, seemingly into thin air. It only took me a brief moment to connect A and B, and eventually I came to the conclusion that my guest invite had been revoked by some sort of means - shortly after mentioning the (albeit exaggerated) rank of the previous guild I guested for. At first I suspected some sort of mistake, a guest invite duration glitch, or something to that effect. But after waiting for my whisper chat to make that oh-so-familiar "ding" indicating a whisper from a player who you had not recently whispered, I found myself in the Great Temple of Balthazar merely staring at a local chat passing by, never to actually hear that "ding."

I came to the realization that my guest invite had not only been revoked, by such things were done so intentionally! Worse yet, the one who guested me, Raine Tzu Sun, didn't offer any means of explanation, nor did she bother to repeat the process of typing my character name into the "Guests" section of her guild panel with 100 gold in her possession. Instead, hurt and dejected, I proceeded to further isolate myself from anyone who attempted to establish communication with me. Shortly after this incident, another friend, Seyna, asked me in a oh-so-sweet and kind fashion if I would infuse for him and his team. Normally, I'd be delighted to agree - however, my gleeful visage and optimism was burdened, if not torn by the lack of any sort of comfort from the events that occurred just moments before. Only now do I fully understand the contagious nature of a bad mood, refusing to oblige Seyna's request, and doing so in a rather detached manner. My regrets for allowing my emotions to interfere with the normal friendly interactions between myself and my peers are evident even today, as I reflect upon this all.

With some time alone to think, I began to consider all the possible alternatives to a simple instance of my guild guest status being revoked with no consideration or remorse. Perhaps not everyone realized exactly what occurred, assuming I left upon my own free will. Or maybe they had some sort of other issue at the time caused by a third party, leading to apathy towards what happened, or perhaps leading to what happened itself. I could have sat there for hours contemplating all the possibilities to myself, especially inclined to do so by the unusual nature of it all. I had never known Raine to behave this way, especially not towards myself, unless having a legitimate reason to doing so. And generally, any reason could be seen as legitimate. But, instead of contemplating this for hours, sitting in front of my laptop, I made the decision to attempt to go distract myself, at least until some sort of reasoning could be found.

I suppose, partially, this was all my fault, really. I was always afraid of everyone, regardless of close friendships. Generally, I would always assume the worst, and whenever I thought such things, I wouldn't want to talk to people unless they invoked the conversation themselves. After all, I'm probably an annoying, needy, moody bother. Despite my best of efforts to think of something else, I kept getting caught up in my own curiosity with it all. I'm quite certain it interfered with my ability to sleep, although many things cause problems with sleep these days anyway. Really, none of this should have been such a massive deal, but I've always been known for over-reactions, especially when I have generally unpleasant days. Even now, my curiosity pokes at me, begging me to figure out exactly what happened that fateful evening. But, I cannot seem to bring myself to bluntly request reasoning. Really, I probably am over-exaggerating anyway. I'm sure there was a perfectly legitimate, logical reason for all of this that would completely remove any serious harm done.
