20090327 Journal Update

Thanks for providing the update today on your journal. It's really exciting to hear about all of the hard work everyone on the Live team is putting into the April update and I hope that the new office space helps to streamline and positively enhance your workflow. Thanks, all. :-) So Linsey and I were talking just now, and as soon as we solidify a few more items on the scheduling and web side of things, we'll be able to move forward with a couple of the ideas/plans we had to give you more information on the upcoming update. Hopefully we'll be able to whet your appetite with that information prior to the "full meal" of the actual update itself.

As for the new digs, I am loving the extra space. Linsey, Joe, Daneen, and I have each claimed a corner of the room, which is pretty rad, since I never had this much space in the Systems Design room. We'll see how long that lasts, as there's talk of moving more people into this room at some point. (Oh noes, interlopers!) The only downside of this room is that it's like a refrigerator. Linsey brought a big duvet (or a "comforter" in American terminology) to work to huddle in when she gets chilly. A minor change.

Could we make it possible to send equipment templates to chat when playing on Roleplaying characters? Since rolling a PvE for every profession, I've been on PvP characters less and less often, and it's never a problem unless someone else rolls and needs an equipment template, which I can't ping from any of the characters I generally play. It's not a serious issue, per se, just a minor annoyance that I'd think would be relatively easy to fix (just have the save disk appear on every character, but with the load option disabled for PvE characters, no?). Probably not possible because items in PvE work differently and have many more possibilities, so they can't easily be converted into a short code.--83.26.13.15 02:10, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
