Tips

Hey there Santax! can u give me any tips on my userpage? I would like it to look as nice as possible.--Dervish-icon.pngRaph 14:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

GW:EN

Sorry, but i tried doing the shift esc + thing and it didn't do anything. I was just wondering where you are getting the information from for the Dungeons in GW:EN you seem pretty sure of yourself...and i would just like to know your source, before i post anything about the areas you have listed on my website thanks.--Coridan 11:51, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

My source is general pastebin - Something - post number 629938. If you look towards the end, you'll see it has the names of all GW:EN explorables, missions and at least some quests. I'm not sure where that's from, might've been information extracted from Gw.dat or something, but it seems fairly reliable... it was posted 2 weeks and 2 days ago and yet it has the names of the new HA maps. I found out which were dungeons because the dungeon areas all have multiple levels, which are listed seperately to each other. I'm not sure if there's any way to discern which is which with all the other items, though... they seem to be listed by order of implementation rather than region. Anyway, make of it what you will. --Santax (talk · contribs) 11:59, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks man! --Coridan 18:40, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
No problem :)
Out of curiosity, what is your website? --Santax (talk · contribs) 19:02, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
http://omggaming.com/omg/e107_plugins/forum/forum.php is our Guilds forum--Coridan 16:54, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I was wondering if this was the link you posted on GWO that got removed. If it isnt, do you know if you could get a link here? Thanks! Obie Quiet 17:46, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

The link from GWO is this one here. --Santax (talk · contribs) 17:49, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Steelmint

Hey Santax, are you sure you don't mean Candysmith Kringle? See [1]. --Indecision 11:52, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I apologise. It's probably because when I first saw the render I didn't recognise it at all, and the only two smiths (who it seems are actually collectors) that I could recall was someone in a Stone Summit outfit and someone in a fairy costume. My mistake. --Santax (talk · contribs) 11:54, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
No worries mate, just thought I'd let you know :). --Indecision 11:57, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

GWEN Heroes

Can you please stop adding the remaining 4 heroes to stuff? Their English names are unknown, and Hedda is the name of a merchant. Thank you. Capcom 18:31, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

And Hajok Earthguardian is the name of a Djinn. And an Insect. The hero names are a rough translation of the resources we have, it's better than nothing. --Santax (talk · contribs) 18:34, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Just a quick note in regards to Hedda - I've reverted the image back, as it looked slightly ridiculous on the collector page :) I guess it needs to be reuploaded to Image:Hedda (hero) or something similar. -- AT(talk | contribs) 18:35, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
No, it's not better than nothing. It's going to cause huge misinformation and there's absolutely no point to muck things up by creating dead links and one that links to a merchant. Capcom 18:37, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
You could always do something like unlinking them and adding something like (rough translation), or replacing the rough translations with the Taiwanese names and adding a note like (English unknown). Someone should also ask Gaile to confirm the English names - the cat's out of the bag, so there'd be nothing wrong with fixing up information that's available from an official source, just in another language. --Santax (talk · contribs) 18:42, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
That's probably the best idea, to ask Gaile for their English names. Sorry if I came off as hostile or anything, but I just really don't think it's a great idea to be making articles for characters whose names we don't actually know. :/ (And regardless of what you do, please make sure you order them by profession. The template was out of order before I changed it.) Capcom 18:44, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I have bad news for you...

User Santax Userpage.png

You user page, as it stands now is one user box too big according to our esteemed User page policy. If you scroll all the way to the bottom and all the way to the top you'll find that the user box with the hazard cone (the one about recent changes) is unseen in both views! Your user page is now in violation of GWW:USER by half an inch. Woe is you. :) --Karlos 12:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you mean... in my browser, that doesn't appear to be the case. --Santax (talk · contribs) 12:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
You're probably running a different resolution than the one used to measure on the policy page. Try adjusting your monitor's resolution lower temporarily to test this for yourself. -- 208.113.148.15 07:00, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Gallery

Love your fsk gallery. ^_^ If you ever move it to the mainspace, I'll put in the concept art I've salvaged that the devs have received permission to let circulate around the internet (they were told to wait for a certain amount of time for the sale of collector edition art books). It's about 500 images of concept art and high-quality renderings.

What I'd really like is to have a general, all-purpose gallery that one could link to the images within, especially when it comes to lore articles. Lore articles with concept art is heaven (they look really professional). --Talonz User Talonz sig.gif // 05:40, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! Layout Coding Help Needed!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I have only been on GWW for a few days now and I am still trying to understand how the layout system works. I am very familiar with HTML code, so the Wiki code is throwing me off a bit. Any ideas to a location of where I can find some information on the codes used to make the layouts? Thanks. --G0t w00t? (talk · contribs) 16:32, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Try the editor handbook on Meta. A lot of HTML still works on the wiki, if you're having trouble. After basic wikicode, the most important things to read up on are images, templates and tables. It doesn't take too long to get used to it... if you see something and wonder how the person did that, hit "edit" and take a look at the code (yes, stealing). Before long, you'll know it well :) --Santax (talk · contribs) 16:46, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Boreal Station & Volfen Blessing

Hi Santax. If you look at this video, you'll see at 5:10 that Boreal Station is indeed an outpost in the Far Shiverpeaks (just south of EotN). It might just be an entrance to the Depths, like the Mouth of Torment is an entrance to the RoT in Nightfall. And aside from that, there's a question waiting for you here :-) Chriskang 11:25, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Ah, alrighty then. It's just I saw in one of the videos someone standing in an underground outpost called the Boreal Station, so despite the obvious link (boreal=northern), I assumed it was in the Depths. And I've just this minute answered that question :P --Santax (talk · contribs) 11:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

User:Trekie9001 editcount

Hey. Can you please doublecheck that you counted his edits correctly? Even interpreting the elections policy very liberally so as to exclude even the talkpages of the User and Guild namespaces, and not counting images he's uploaded, I'm getting 170+ edits on his account. --Dirigible 13:02, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Ah, my apologies, I've miscounted the first time round. He has 98 mainspace edits, 24 talk edits, 7 project edits, 6 project talk edits, 2 template edits, 2 help edits, bringing it to a total of 139 edits. I'll change it back. --Santax (talk · contribs) 13:53, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

The Ebon Vanguard

Hey, I got your message(s) and am considering which forum template to use. Sorry for my elusiveness, I was busy yesterday and was helping out in the guild earlier today. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Mazza558 .

Meh, it's no problem :) --Santax (talk · contribs) 16:31, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

GW Font

Hay, I saw your post on User Talk:Matthew Medina's page about fonts. I actually happen to have that font. The one I got is called FritzQuadrata, and from what I remember, it wasn't commercial, so email me if you want and I'll send it to you if I can. -elviondale (tahlk) 16:33, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

I've tagged this image with a copyrigth violation since the use probably cannot be seen as fair use and it's not GFDL content. - anja talk 10:31, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Opinion on bureaucrat candidates

I don't know how much it will count, but as one of those who voted for both Tanaric and Xeeron, you may want to give your specific preference at Guild Wars Wiki talk:Elections/2007-08 bureaucrat election#Deciding of winner. I would like to see if we can reach a consensus by August 26 23:59 UTC. If not, your preference might (or might not) also be a factor in ArenaNet's final decision. Thanks. --Rezyk 20:38, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
