Warrior Warrior[edit]

The problem is, Warrior is really three classes. I don't know the technical limitations of the engine (also I've never played starcraft/dota but love the nostalgia of presenting iconic builds), but you'd be best off with an axe, hammer, and sword warrior. Sword would be a cripslash thing, axe would be evisc (obviously), and hammer could arguably be dev hammer, backbreaker, or earth shaker. I'd also give a nod to Crushing Blow, Bull's, Savage Slash, Gash, Protector's Defense, Healing Signet, and maybe Wary Stance. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Ranger Ranger[edit]

Apply, Barbed Trap, Brutal Strike, Charm Animal, dshot, eoe, ew, fw, pin down, savage, throw dirt, troll, and maybe winnowing. For elites, I could see Barrage, Crippling Shot, Poison Arrow, or Practiced Stance, but I'd really be happy with Mel's Arrows or Glass Arrows. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Apply poison, throw dirt, troll unguent, spike trap, burning arrow, natural stride, volley elite: magebane shot (make it nice :P)--Miriforst fox User Miriforst fox fox icon.png 08:49, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Apply, Savage, Dshot, Cripshot, Natstride, Lightning Reflexes, Mtouch, Troll Unguent. Morphy 13:01, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Should be a profession being natural resistant, with some utility conditions such as snare and poison spread and is able to interrupt certain actions with some skills. But not a class that is really powerful as in dealing a shiton of damage. So pretty much a bar like the standard ranger bar we have in GW. InfestedHydralisk 18:30, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

standard ranger bar. Debshot Mtouch Dshot SavShot Melsshot Apply Stride Random trap as last skill.--83.82.62.210 14:31, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Monk Monk[edit]

woh, rof, rc, blight, mend ailment, guardian, prot spirit, aegis (the aoe version), deny, boon, kiss, htouch, veil, heal other, and shielding hands. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

By the way, you got the sections out of order. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Necromancer Necromancer[edit]

animate bone minions, spiteful spirit, bip, enfeebling blood, life siphon/transfer, putrid explosion, tainted flesh, and well of blood/the profane. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Mesmer Mesmer[edit]

Shatter, diversion, shame, pblock, pleak, blackout, conjure phantasm, eburn, esurge, edrain, inept, inspired (both), migraine, web of disruption. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Ethereal burden, backfire, empathy, conjure phantasm/illusion of pain, clumsiness, wastrels worry, ether feast elite: power block (this is an odd combination i know but i don't know how you would implement the really fun stuff like diversions functionality even with an Xcraft world edit. So i will asume that you will bend the functions slightly and mostly keep the flavors of the skills, not necessary anything even remotely like it in its actual function)--Miriforst fox User Miriforst fox fox icon.png 08:56, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Elementalist Elementalist[edit]

Like the warrior, this is really four classes in one (or, really, four classes that tend to take each other as secondaries).

Attunes if they're more awesome than in gw. Bflash, blurred, breath of fire, burning speed/storm djinn's, deep freeze/ice spikes, echarge, eruption (maybe), Fireball, Fire Storm, Gale, Frozen Burst, gole/goep, Gust, Immolate, Mark of Rodgort, Rodgort's Invocation, Meteor, Mind Freeze, Mist Form, Obsidian Flame, Water Trident. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Assassin Assassin[edit]

I always loved Aura of Displacement, Unsuspecting Strike, and Twisting Fangs, but Shadowy Burden is hands down my favorite assassin skill of all time. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 06:32, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Jagged, too! -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:43, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't usually play carries but I think Assassin or Ranger would fit that role best for your game (at least in the traditional sense of carry). I suggest physical DPS skills like Critical Eye, Death Blossom, Twisting Fangs (^stated above too), maybe Shiro's Impossible Odds as an ulti. I really like this DotA idea! Good luck, make it better than SOLTIS! Jaian Avery 04:20, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

AoD. Jagged->Fox->DB. Critical Eye, Heart of Shadow. Maybe something like HotO (KD when no ally in 500 range). Assassins promise as an ulti (or track). Mantis Touch, Siphon Speed (like visage's Gravekeepers Chill). And maybe something like a critical like Jinada.--83.82.62.210 14:55, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Ritualist Ritualist[edit]

Bloodsong, SoS, Rupture Soul, SLW, SoR, spirit light, spirit siphon, mbas, gaze of fury. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Paragon Paragon[edit]

Paragons can't really iconic :<

GftE, SYG, anthem envy/flame/guidance/weariness, aria resto, burning shield, leader's comfort, song resto, cruel spear, song of power. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

GftE, Cruel spear as a ranged Culling Blade (ulti) or Assassinate. Make Haste. Burning Shield. Signet of Synergy. Flurry (yeah, its paragon now. deal with it.) And prolly something like Barbed spear/maiming spear combo.--83.82.62.210 12:50, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Dervish Dervish[edit]

Every avatar. Possibly one avatar skill that turns you into a random avatar. Related, I disagree on WS.

Every pious skill. Balancing enchantments is the derv theme, imo (even if that's not what actually happens).

Shield of Force, Imbue Health, Grenth's Fingers, Featherfoot Grace, Banishing Strike, Mystic Sweep.

furzt[edit]

(Edit conflict) I typed up a response detailing seven out of ten professions and skills for each, but then the computer crashed, took vim with it and ate my buffer. I think the kernel is fucked; I just updated. This sounds like a fun idea though, lemme know whenever it's ready for a beta test or whatever, I might have a real copy of SCII by then. –Jette 06:33, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Furzt, ec? -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 07:42, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Problem I see with this[edit]

Guild Wars is a pretty pure team game, ie most characters aren't supposed to function on their own. If you're going to take the standard dota template (6 man split up in 3 teams of 2 players), I fear it would result in buildwarsey situations and the more subtle professions such as the Mesmer won't see play. Morphy 13:12, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

GvG is DotA. Right now I have it setup as a 6v6. I'm not ripping mechanics straight out of GW, I am actually modifying a lot of the gameplay to be more like dota, but with GW skills. Each hero will be designed to be played mostly alone, except the monk and paragon, which are mostly going to be support characters. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 21:59, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Sounds interesting, keep us updated. 83.163.190.111 18:08, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
