yes[edit]

(the talk header can be seen as a reply to your edit summery here.) I actually wanted this section to include all skills that can be used by players, but not with an regular equipable skill. I didn't notice the skills listed there only show forms. As your section header appear to be less confusing and suits as well, that should be ok. :) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 15:16, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Ah, you're welcome. Forgot to respond to this. Duh. --Star Weaver 19:23, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Wolf's Talk[edit]

Care to explain the purpose of your comment on my talk page? --Wolf 17:19, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Issue resolved. Feel free to delete r archive this section. --Wolf 17:26, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
So I'm posting there while you're posting here and everything is all dizzy! :D --Star Weaver 17:28, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
If you need me (Wolf) for anything, drop it on my talk, or I won't see it. That's the only thing I check now. Plus I get a nice e-mail saying when someone has put something there, and I check my email a lot. --Wolf 17:32, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Extra language support[edit]

Please install support for Asian languages on your computer. Some users have signatures with Japanese letters, or other symbols, and when you edit the talk page you're replacing everything with question marks. (like here) You can do that on Windows XP by going into your Control Panel, and selecting Regional and Language settings (or something like that). In the second tab, you should find 2 check boxes that will install proper language support on your computer. — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 16:07, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Ack! Actually, I've got at least sufficient support to see the characters in the edit boxes on the wiki (no IME :(), thankfully as I don't have admin on this box; but my gVIM wasn't using any particular encoding. I was just opening it and pasting text into a scratch buffer. Switched it over to unicode now and while I can't SEE the characters, it's not converting them to ?'s or anything (i see squares), and it seems to work. I'm pasting a few of eloc's charactesr through here to test it:
Sorry about that ^_^. --Star Weaver 16:21, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

your mission icons[edit]

nice work. But why are the incomplete icons larger than the rest? —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:05, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

(Edit Conflict: Me) Dude, I hadn't even finished uploading :D. Anyway, they're not larger ... at least not on my screen. They're actually smaller, dimensionwise, as I wanted to use them for bullets without all the extra whitespace getting in the way, but the actual icon should have the same pixel size as the completed ones. Is the individual file view blowing some of them up since they're small? --Star Weaver 13:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Doh, right! >.< silly me, i forgot that all images get resized in a gallery since a past wiki update. Sry nvmd then :P —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:15, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Oooh, gallery! Actually, the thing that made me start this project was seeing that the gallary format made most of the icons look bad on the page :D. Thanks for watching, though. :) --Star Weaver 13:17, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Census[edit]

Regarding your edits on the Census page - I understand why you did it and I appreciate it. However the problem is we don't know those individuals' professions in Pre-Searing since we haven't met them in Ascalon during that time. We know they were there based on their narratives. So that's why I put them as "A Henchman" since we did not witness a change in their profession. Suppose we meet a Merchant in Post Searing whom we haven't met in Pre but he mentions surviving the Searing but not his profession, we exactly can't say he "Became a Merchant" - what if he was a merchant the whole time but we have no way of verifying that. – User Barinthus Magical Compass.png Barinthus 18:46, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Huh. I guess I was thinking that there are no henchmen before the searing, therefore anyone who became one later became one. Also, Aidan, Mhenlo, and even Orion are listed as 'became a henchman' -- and Orion was used as a henchman in the pre-searing mission.
However, if we take that 'henchman' is an NPC vocation and not just a gameplay term, your thinking is probably more accurate. However again, "A Henchman" sounds ungramattical as the table is formatted. ("What's the significant change to Aidan after the searing?" -- "A Henchman") -- maybe the phrase "Appears as a Henchman" (with wikilink Henchman maybe?) would work for both of us for all the henchies? :D --Star Weaver 19:09, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

From Star Weaver/sandbox Re Staging Area List[edit]

nice outpost table you got there File:User Horsedrowner avatar.jpg horsedrowner 11:07, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Aw, thanks. I'll be finishing it up soon, though I don't tend to wiki much on the weekends. Also want to pull all the uncompleted and partial mission icons and upload them, see if any of them make better icons. Will probably do a "combat area" list too sometime; thinking of making some tangoish icons for explorable area and 'inside a mission' area. Hm, will need the dungeon icons for something too. --Star Weaver 16:55, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree, the pictures are quite beautiful...would like those more than the ones we have now as loading screens haha.-Warior Kronos User Warior Kronos Sig.jpg 22:24, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
I just took the main pic from the infobox for each zone and applied |180px to it :D. Also, some of those have stupid filenames along the lines of "gw-scrn-180-lrg.jpg" ... presearing is one of those. --Star Weaver 23:06, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
