Removing information that does not belong on the Gaile/Frog Talk[edit]

Please don't remove the logs from Gaile/Frog Talk since they are there with summaries just waiting to get the complete log. As they are logs, they may contain information you find useless, but others don't, since it's things people have actually asked/talked about during Gaile's visits in game. - anja talk (contribs) 14:44, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

It's a Wiki about a game, not a fanclub for one of the staff.
Sorry you feel that way, and your entitled to your opinion, but the Gaile/Frog Talk are the logs of in-game talks where Gaile answers questions and gives info on upcoming features to be implemented into the game. Its not a fan club in any way. And please do not delete your talk page for this matter. ~ BlackGeneral File:Blackgeneralstar.png 15:06, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
Guess what genius. The number of accounts she has does not have anything to do with features coming to the game or anything to do with the game itself, simply about her. Take note with what you just said. "upcoming features to be implemented into the game" and that has nothing to do with how many accounts she has or what type of minipet she has. With that said, that therefore means I have been correct the entire time with how the information posted on April 27th is irrelevant to Guild Wars. Tarun 16:13, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
although I do see your point in a way, if what gaile got for her birthday doesent concern you, others may want to know about it. And yes the gaile logs are about upcoming features about the game but they are also about things that gaile said when she came to talk to players ingame. I know that how many accounts gaile had and what she got for her birthday has nothing to do with the game but when I read about it I found it quite intersting. so please even if sometimes you do not show an interest in what gaile has said just leave it there for others who may find it intersting, and if you do think something really is so irrelivent that it shouldent be there before deleting it ask on the talk page to see others opinions. Yet it clearly states things of that nature should be on her User Talk page. -- Tarun 16:29, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

Talk page blanking[edit]

Hi, please do not remove talk from your talk page if you don't archive them. Thanks for your attention. - MSorglos 15:24, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

If you would like to delete your talk page, feel free, but please archive the talk before deletion. I can go at this all day. ~ BlackGeneral File:Blackgeneralstar.png 15:35, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
technically, since it's his user talk page, he has right according to wikipedia:Talk page guidelines to remove other ppls comments w/o archiving. it's just considered bad form if he doesn't archive. that doesn't excuse removing gaile/frog talk however. --Wongba 15:52, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
Nope... Do not remove comments from your talk page. Thanks. Read this: Guild_Wars_Wiki:User_page ~ BlackGeneral File:Blackgeneralstar.png 15:59, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
BlackGeneral is correct. GWW has its own set of policies, separate from any other wiki, including Wikipedia. Wikipedia's policies do not apply to this site. — Gares 16:36, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
I like how no one offered to help archive anything; how can it be done? The "tutorial" is not very clear and help would be welcomed. Should I try, I am concerned that someone will simply undo the edits as I make an attempt to create an archive. I take my time to try and be sure to get things right when doing so, and during the time I take I feel like someone will undo the changes, which is very irritating when trying to learn how to correctly do something. -- Tarun 16:40, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

For an example, you can see my user talk page. Use User_talk:Tarun/Archive1 or something similar. ~ BlackGeneral File:Blackgeneralstar.png 16:43, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

I like to use something like this:

{{Archive-box|[[User_talk:Tarun/Archive1|Talk Archive, 04/15/07]]}}

Once you add that to the top of this page, you click on that link, and cut-paste everything from here into that one. It's pretty simple - that template is just not always easy to find =) MisterPepe talk 16:45, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
Is it mandatory that it has to be in a box? Can it be in a link or something minor? || I gotta learn how to make a sig too. :P -- Tarun 16:48, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
No, I just like the box =P The sig can be changed pretty easily - check out GWW:SIGN for instructions. MisterPepe talk 16:49, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
So it can be a link with styles and stuff? Sweet. -- Tarun 16:57, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
