Sorry if any of the formatting doesnt meet the requirements, I'm new to the wiki code. BenderRodriguez 22:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

I completely agree with this idea. Very useful. Gelei 20:17, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

I always find myself wandering around a town, even if I know it well forever for the storage box. Then if I need to get something and I accidentally close the window I have to trek all the way back. Pain in the butt, but not a big deal. Colonel Hawk 15:59, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, and on the same time, why not just make a portal to the end mission? hah, just kidding. But the point is, it's fun to walk to the chest.. or not fun, its hard to describe... but it just the feeling, exploration (well i have already ben at the chest 1000's times). Well it gives a feeling of the real life, that u have to walk somewhere to get it. Alftagrabben 20:09, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd like that very much. Our Guild Hall and all the outposts I visit are usually chosen just to get close enough to a Xunlai and/or trader. Would take out a part of the game though.. Maybe there's another solution? --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 20:36, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

(RI) Youre right Colonel Hawk, this is not a big deal, just a minor annoyance that would be extremely easy to solve from a coding standpoint. Alftgrabben, if it's realism we're here for, let's petition for several things. For starters, why are we able to operate the xunlai chest from far away? If we want realism, then the devs should make it so we have to be standing next to the chest, just as we have to be standing next to traders to interact with them. Furthermore, let's ask that zoning be recoded, so people can't run each other through explorable areas. Would you categorize Ranger enemies in PvE, who persist at shooting through solid rock, as realistic? Is it realistic that Warriors should lose all knowledge of handling axes if they want to use swords? My point is - Guild Wars was never too realistic, and I don't think realism is what people look for in Guild Wars. I am not playing it for its life-like mechanics, I play for fun. Looking for the Xunlai Chest in a crowded Kaineng center at 10 frames per second is not fun. Its more like this. BenderRodriguez 01:59, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

There is a simple solution to people not wanting a key to open the storage from anywhere in town. Don't use that key. If you feel the game is better by taking a full minute of time to run across a large town to get to the storage stuffed in a corner, then by all means, feel free to do so. Having played this game for 3 years now, I am getting tired of doing it, especially in EoTN where the pathing is absolutely horrible so you have to navigate up to the storage manually unless you have a straight line to it. Gunnar's Hold and Rata Sum both have a lot of corners that doing the old click-space to move to an npc or object will get you stuck on. So I am fully in favor of adding the button. Now that bender mentions it: In crowded places you often want to try and open your Xunlai - but finding it between a huge amount of player names that pop up is very annoying. Especially with the created lag. A minor solution to that lag is to look down at the ground. Some chests are indeed far away or have a path your character can't optimize. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 09:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Activate auto-select. Approach the chest. Hit space. There you are. There is no need to make it easier when you can just move to another outpost where the chest is better placed. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 20:10, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Auto-select is not an option for me (designated target caller). Don't you think moving to another outpost defeats the purpose if one is trying to craft consumables, or weapons, or armor? BenderRodriguez 22:35, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
